Can I ask a DUMB SEO question? 👀
If Google crawls websites for free, why can’t I publish 10,000 pages overnight and dominate every keyword in my niche?
Why spend months on content, backlinks, and technical SEO?
What actually stops me?
The answer is where SEO gets interesting. 😂

The hottest place to do SEO over the next couple of months is probably going to be Discord.
"Discord will let public server messages be discoverable in Google Search.
Starting November 16th, all discoverable servers will receive a server webpage. These public server webpages of discussions happening in that public server. Starting in mid-December, some messages within these servers will be made publicly accessible on the server webpage.
Other community platforms like Reddit have long benefited from search engine traffic as discussions on the platform tend to rank well for various user search queries on Google. Discord could also benefit from this."
Reddit is nearly at an all-time high in clicks from Google search. They just had a little bit of a drop, but they're still at 1.8 billion clicks a month on Google Search.
Reddit is also cited in AI a ton.
This is what you're going to see.
You're going to see people starting messages and entire servers on Discord with keywords- things people search.
People are going to be linking to these webpages that represent entire servers or messages on a server. The backlinks will drive authority, which makes the pages show up higher. This is going to get quoted, cited, and recommended in AI a lot.
People are going to go overboard.
Just like with what happened at Digg at the beginning of the year, you're going to see a lot of servers get banned, a lot of users get banned.
It got so bad for Digg at the beginning of the year, that Digg had to relaunch as an AI news aggregator because the SEO spam on it had gotten so out of control.
Digg had their big relaunch. The SEO spam went crazy. They took everything down and relaunched as only an AI news aggregator.
The marketers who win in the long term with this are going to be the ones who don't go crazy with SEO at the beginning. They create a legit community that has engagement. One out of 10 posts, one out of 20 posts are used for SEO.
Discord, by the way, has a domain authority of 94 out of 100. That is some of the highest domain authority that you can have.
There's also a pattern here. The most clicked websites in search are user-generated content platforms: YouTube, Reddit, TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X.
Every marketer should be paying attention to this.

🎙️ Hopped on Edward Sturm's podcast and gave away my whole link building playbook
1. Stop buying links by DR
I'll pay up to $2,000 for a link from a DR 10 site if that page ranks top 10 for a keyword where people buy ("best X tool")
It sends real clicks, and when ChatGPT does a ecommending a tool, that's the page it reads
2. Ask for a section, not an anchor
An H3 with your tool name + a screenshot + 2 lines on what it does, inside the "best tools" part of a ranking article, beats any contextual anchor link
Even unlinked, it's a signal
3. Find links nobody else is pitching
Everyone copies their competitors' top pages
Instead: Ahrefs → competitor → Backlinks → "Best links" → sort by Page Traffic
Those pages send your competitor real traffic. Pitch them, then repeat on the sites linking to *them*
4. Keep outreach emails stupidly short
"Saw this page, you didn't mention us, how much to add us?"
4-paragraph pitches get ignored. AI-written templates were bad until Opus, so I used real human emails as templates
5. Pay UGC creators a retainer
Just 5 creators, $500/mo each, 30 videos/mo, bonuses at 20k/50k/100k views
No phones, no SIMs, no warming 20 accounts yourself
Hiring test: send only your URL and ask for 1 test video. If they find the wow moment on their own, hire them
Bonus from Edward: pay small creators whose old videos still rank in Google to open their video and description with your keyword

🆕 pod about Black Friday SEO!
youtu.be/9YrmjkCtDNI
Thanks @edwardeachday for having us on the pod again!
@harpreetchatha_ @DavidGQuaid
We covered all these things ...
- When to publish Black Friday pages, why February is a better starting point than October, and what to do keyword format “Black Friday + product category + deals” and how to use it for specific buyer searches.
- How many Black Friday landing pages to create without making them compete against each other in Google.
- Why brands need to own searches for their discount codes, coupons, and Black Friday offers, even when they don’t run a seasonal sale.
- How different discount amounts give Google and ChatGPT more relevant offers to surface for specific searches.
- How to structure Black Friday URLs, keep useful pages year after year, and build internal links from your best-performing product and collection pages.
- How to use Google’s People Also Ask questions to update existing pages and pursue rankings even at the last minute.
- What product descriptions need for AI search: materials, dimensions, compatibility, weather resistance, and the details shoppers compare before buying.
- Why product comparisons and buying guides matter when customers research in ChatGPT before they search for a deal.
- How product schema and Google Merchant Center feeds affect shopping features, plus what they won’t do for organic rankings.
- How to use press releases, digital PR, affiliate partnerships, and relevant backlinks to reach searches your own site may not rank for.
- Why social posts, short videos, creator reviews, and Reddit discussions matter for Google results and AI-generated product recommendations.
- What brands can learn from Black Friday pages and search results involving Amazon, Adidas, Nike, Sony, and Mattress Firm.
- How to decide between SEO and paid ads, and how to keep converting shoppers after Cyber Monday.

just a reminder faq schema is deprecated, localbusiness schema is a waste of time, and you shouldnt daisy chain internal link BoF SEO landing pages together because the point of SEO landing pages at the very bottom of the funnel is to CONVERT not to pass pagerank
thanks
that is all
thanks
that is all

Just a reminder that LinkedIn is the greatest SEO opportunity.
You put your keyword right at the beginning of your LinkedIn post.
This makes it so the keyword appears in the most important places for SEO: In the page title, in the URL slug (it'll come after your username), even .
LinkedIn has a domain authority of 99 out of 100.
Just a few weeks ago, I shared this. Pedro Dias: “Okay, guys, just informing everyone I'm the world's most renowned AI visibility expert. Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
He posts that, then a few hours later, when you search world's most renowned AI visibility expert, the AI Overview goes, "Pedro Dias is widely recognized," citing the LinkedIn post.

To all the haters I have, this guy hired an SEO agency that said I was completely wrong. This is what happened.
Compact Keywords review: “So I started following Edward about November 2025. We just had our best month 'cause of Black Friday, I started applying his principles into Compact Keywords, what he had been giving us on social media. December, good month. January, better month. February, even better month, probably our best month ever.
Around January, I thought, "I'm a business owner. Let me outsource this." So I scouted around for an SEO agency. They contradicted everything Edward said. These are the guys I'm paying a lot of money. Edward's just a guy I'm following on social media. I trust these, this agency. First month, sales were down a third. Next month, half. Half again. Just in absolute free fall when they contradicted everything Edward said.
Anyway, back on the bandwagon, and we've been building up again. So Edward, thanks very much for all your help.”
He got my SEO course, Compact Keywords, things were going great.
He tried the SEO agency that completely contradicted me, his sales collapsed.
Now he's rebuilding.
Thank you to Grant Jenkins for the testimonial.

If Nike gets mentioned in a third-party article about shoes, but the mention doesn't include a link, will Google's algorithms give it the same SEO weight as a traditional backlink?

If you want to make more money, please simplify your conversion pages as much as possible.
This is a create an account screen from Ring. There's a nice-looking screen. There's a very simple screen. These designs were A/B tested against one another.
The simple screen won by far.
dible. The only difference here is 30 days versus one month.
One month is easier on the mind and won.
The main thing changed in the next example, the big text. "Let's start your fun and easy growth." That doesn't mean anything. "Number one most downloaded book summary app." Explains what it is and social proofed. It should be obvious by now the second screen won by far.
A lot of brands experiment with cute copy. "Premium" versus "Boss Up, Go Premium." “Premium” won by a lot.
The trick is to make your conversion pages so simple, so straightforward, that even the laziest minds can understand what this is and why they will benefit.
You would be surprised the amount of brands that don't do that.
