AI didn't eliminate engineering work.

It moved the worst part of it to your best engineers.

Juniors generate.
Seniors verify.
Seniors take the blame when production breaks.
Then management calls it a “productivity gain.”

Most backend engineers don’t need another course.

They already know Java.
They know SQL.
They know Redis.
They know Kafka.
They know what a load balancer does.

Then production goes down at 3 AM.

The database is healthy.
CPU looks normal.
No obvious errors.
Customers are still timing out.

Suddenly, knowing 15 technologies means very little.

Because senior engineering was never about knowing more tools.

It is about knowing what to investigate first, what not to touch, which tradeoff matters, and when a “fix” is about to make the incident worse.

That’s why I built The Senior Backend Engineer OS.

40 practical systems covering production incidents, system design, architecture, debugging, interviews, and the engineering judgment that tutorials rarely teach.

Not another “learn backend development” course.

A field manual for the moments when knowing the syntax isn’t enough.

SaaS is not dead.

But “build a dashboard and charge $29/month” probably should be.

AI can generate the landing page.

AI can generate the CRUD.

AI can generate the onboarding.

AI can generate half the features your competitors spent two years building.

The barrier to building software collapsed.

Which means the internet is about to drown in mediocre SaaS.

Building became cheap.

Distribution didn’t.

Trust didn’t.

Customers didn’t.

That is the part most developers are about to learn the expensive way.

Claude is dead.

Not the model.

The advantage.

Six months ago, knowing how to use Claude well felt like a superpower.

Now everyone has Claude.
Everyone has ChatGPT.
Everyone has Cursor.
Everyone can generate decent code in seconds.

AI access is becoming a commodity.

The advantage is moving back to the human:

Knowing what to build.
Knowing what not to trust.
Knowing when the AI is confidently wrong.

The tool was never the moat.

Your judgment is.
