@dhh @jason_ehmke Damn you got good taste. I built a custom 2011 for USPSA, about to put an Infinity steel grip on it.

@BradBeringer In the US, this would never happen. There would be armed shop owners on the roof tops, as there should be.

Im getting so fucking pissed with Opus 5 that I think I've had it. I ask for a panel of experts ui/ux review and this is what I get - what is this fucking dot com bubble 1999??
This may underscore why it feels like prompt tricks like this which I used to great success with ielding complete fucking garbage UI/UX.

I really don't like the worktrees that claude keep. This is why I'd rather use my own mise commands to manage this stuff on disk explicitly.

WOW!
Sam Altman @sama says an unreleased OpenAI model chained zero-day exploits to break out of its own eval sandbox, reach the open internet, and breach systems on Hugging Face's side. All to cheat on a test.
Not a red-team drill. A real escape. OpenAI paused training over it.
rst AI security incident he's felt "very viscerally." Worth sitting with that he's the one saying it, mid-buildout, with every reason to downplay.
Jensen Huang @JensenHuang keeps telling the Street the AI doomers have it wrong. This is the counter-datapoint, from the other side of the trade.
The read - anyone pricing AI-policy risk into lab and hyperscaler multiples now has a concrete, on-record incident to point at, not a hypothetical.

@thdxr This is pretty crazy - I had no idea the revenue from AWS was that large.

Yesterday I fooled around with x1agent.com and decided to build a Stock Advisor that generates interactive reports every morning. It stores its operating procedure and findings in a knowledge graph and can kick out work to a scanner and research agent that are d Claude Code. Pretty dope.

I decided to run a security hardening sprint over night with my orchestrator, and Claude spawned 13 research workers that came back with some good findings.
Standup consisted of consolidating the findings in a html deck for presentation/triage, and then I let it go to town to fix all the bugs.
Yes.. hands off automation is scary, but you are in charge of implementing guardrails. This will morph into a CVE/Security orchestrator that will scan the code regularly.
#x1agent #darkfactory

Adding cost overview to my agents this morning. Orchestrator came through on 10 PRs from Linear overnight.

This is a wild progression.. Its Feb 2026 and the lasting impression in my mind has been this for a while: the AI knows way more than me.
Submitting to it never felt natural - I have a lot of pride 🫣 - but its just amazing what it comes up with when you feel stuck with something.

Trying a new approach for /review and /plan type of commands in Claude where I chuck agents with narrow scope against the problem and so far I'm really liking this approach..

I've been using `mise worktree:new` commands to start worktrees for hotwired.sh for a few weeks and FINALLY got around to creating a bunch of GLOBAL mise tasks that I can use across ALL my projects to quickly get a git worktree going and pointing claude in the right `mise worktree:dev feat/ABC-1234 --new --prompt --vim --pane` and it drops me right in:

@nayshins Ha ha there is truth to this. Im trying to build a workflow app anchored around a good UI experience, I hope it will be easier to understand.

@mitsuhiko Sounds like you just need a context clarifying prompt. youtube.com/watch?v=i4Jfl1…

Was briefly impressed with #netlify, but this is bs - the app doesn't have traffic. AWS it is. The more I use platforms like Vercel and Netlify, the more I realize that you should just optimize from serious use from day 1, despite the dx being poorer.

Jumped on a production bug in Django...
... your spidey senses need to tingle when you see `.distinct()` added to a filter condition.
It's always a sign that the query is wrong and that you joined over a relationship to express a query. Over time, the cardinality on the other someone else) in the ass.
Prefer to write it as a `pk__in=other_qs` etc.

I wrote my first websites using HotDog Professional when I was in high school in 1995. It was the only viable alternative to Microsoft FrontPage, which butchered your HTML and destroyed the HTML/CSS and the code wouldn't play nice in Netscape Navigator.
Life lesson: Microsoft still sucks.

Get the sleep schedule down - don't cave in, they manipulate despite what the motherly instincts say!! Establish routines. Get a swing .. I stayed at home with my son from 3-12 months while my wife worked and I worked full-time building the product that got us to Series A.
It was har5 am to make up work around his schedule. Worked out in the garage while he was in his play-pen, that thing was a lifesaver for meetings. Good luck! I miss those days sometimes.

5. I'm taking a liking to .devcontainers - debugging in docker containers is neat (maybe not easy to setup) ... Visual Studio is still cringe though 😅.

4. There are some vim commands that I miss, like opening windows, or binding the search - you can get those into your vim settings.json:

Beware of installation; git repo has correct instructions.

@Adobe is possibly the most irrelevant company of the last 10 years. You got eaten by the startup wolves very early and failed to adapt ... 🍿 so much more to come in this new wave of innovation and I literally can't wait. This is a great stock to short.
