At long last, she’s here! Please meet Leena Mo, CEO. A few years ago I was asked to speak to my daughter’s class about what I do for a living–and I could not find a single children’s book about entrepreneurship, let alone one with a young girl as a protagonist. I vowed then and k myself, because I want my kids to grow up in a world where being a CEO or investor (especially as a woman of color) is normalized. You can’t be it if you can’t see it.

10 years after starting Hugging Face, open-source AI is at an inflection point. Thanks to the community, we’ve shown that it can be a complement, and even an alternative, to for it to happen at larger scale, it needs more compute, more support, more collaboration and more visibility. That’s why we went to talk to Jensen, who offered to do exactly that with us.
In addition to doubling down on NVIDIA’s massive contributions to open-source AI (I called them the “King of American open-source AI” earlier this year), they’ve committed to strongly supporting Hugging Face and our mission while keeping the platform open, independent and compute agnostic. The founders and the team are all staying to keep pushing this mission forward.
Together, we think we can make open source the default way to build AI, with the goal of empowering 100 million AI builders to own their intelligence rather than rent it.

One customer found $10K a month lost to prompt caching and fixed it the same day. Another turned off Fast Mode after Ramp showed it was creating 6x the token spend.

AI is extremely good at spending your money very quietly.
our own token spend went from a rounding error to more than 10% of payroll in a year. one week in May we burned through $1.5 m. our CFO didn't love telling me that number, and he really didn't love telling the internet.
