Very excited to announce that we’re hiring for an AI-focused software engineering roles (both general SWE and ML-infra) at Blue Rose!
This is a great chance to work with giant novel datasets and cutting edge ML/AI to help defeat Trump in 2026!

I made some plots to help visualize why coalition formation in Israel is so difficult right now
We are witnessing an extremely rare situation that political scientists call a "Condorcet cycle" - a demonstration of Arrow's impossibility theorem in the wild!

11 years later this is still a pretty helpful guide for understanding coalition math
A 3-D map of Israeli political views from the 2015 INES, broken out by demographic:
Highlights:
1) In stark contrast to most countries, Israeli politics is truly multi-dimensional
2) Ashkanazi Jews (excluding post-1991 USSR immigrants) are the only consistently left-wing group he post-Soviet Russian population is quite right wing on the prospects of peace, much more skeptical of socialism than every other group, but also much more supportive of secularism
4) Haredi Jews are quite supportive of socialism, despite being quite right-wing on peace and secularism
5) Israeli Arabs are left wing on peace and socialism, but have more right wing views on the proper role of religion in government than any group other than Haredi Jews

Education polarization in the US has so much room to grow!
Socioeconomic status was key indicator of voting in Israel's elections.
Among Jewish voters, in the lowest socio-economic cluster, Netanyahu's coalition won North Korean levels of support. In the top cluster, 81% voted for the Change Bloc.

The swing to Lula was larger in municipalities with more irreligious or evangelical residents, while municipalities with more Catholics swung towards Bolsonaro

Huge respect to the organizers, activists and voters of Brazil and Serbia. These results are due to so much work and they give us so much hope. There is nothing inevitable about the far right.

Lots of people are asking me where to give their money - if you can only do one race, I’d give what you can to @MaryPeltola
Several reasons:
1) It’s a small state, so your money goes further per expected senate vote
2) Direct donations buy 19x ads per dollar than committees due to the unit rule - this also frees up the DSCC and SMP to put their money on states with smaller IE/coord ad price spreads and frees them up to spend more on digital
3) it’s likely going to be close!
It’s not too late! Any money you send today will get spent immediately and will provide real relief to an overworked campaign workers across a bunch of orgs!

NEW AD: Meet @DavidSacks, Trump’s AI and crypto czar.
Republicans like Jon Husted are letting him flood our communities with data centers and block AI regulation.
Sacks gets rich. His friends get rich. Husted gets their money. The only person who loses… is you.

The UK Greens' "Zionism is racism" conference vote seems to have cost them ~1.5 points so far.
Every pollster that has fielded since has them down vs. its own recent average - they're now back to roughly where they were before Polanski took over.

The single biggest thing that AI proponents can do to make the public support the currently extremely unpopular massive AI buildout is to push their political allies to pass comprehensive legislation to make sure that the gains from artificial intelligence are broadly shared
In this interview I tried to argue that a post-scarcity society will benefit working people. It was largely a rhetorical failure. People don’t trust that the benefits will be distributed, and tech optimists have to fix this communications issue.

Historically the primary axis of Brazilian politics has been the upper class voting right and the working class voting left.
This is still true, but for the 2nd election in a row Brazil has mirrored the global education polarization trend of working class voters trending right

Mirroring trends seen elsewhere in the world, Lula gained the most ground relative to Hadad on Sunday in richer, whiter parts of the country.
Bolsonaro did worse in most of the country but still managed to outperformed his 2018 vote in the poorest and least white neighborhoods.

Great gut check! What do Americans not at The Curve think?
We polled them. The results:
Americans think it most likely than in 10 years AI is normal tech.
They think utopia is least likely.
39% of respondents think that in 2036, AI will have made life worse for people like ot sure.
Do you find anything about these results surprising?
