For those of you in our TestFlight beta, we've enabled the new native iOS editor by default*.
This comes with:
- Apple Pencil scribble support
- PencilKit based sketch support (look for "Sketch" in the add block menu)
This is a very early preview, there's a lot of tablet specific functionality (and bugs) we need to still fix but now you can try it out.
If you're not part of the beta, join here! testflight.apple.com/join/YSo8aVCS

Better Desktop Tabs!
Before, every tab needs its own process and memory.
Now, with virtual tabs, memory stays almost flat regardless of # of tabs.
It also has a side benefit of stable sidebar
Try it on in Settings → Preferences → Desktop beta and let us know how it feels!

- Space bar cursor control reaches the start of a line
- Full-page databases no longer render as inline
- No more scroll jumps past captioned images and videos
- Embeds no longer slip under the toolbar
- Quote blocks render correctly
- Database rows respect "Wrap all content"
- New pages open much faster
- Cursor keeps blinking after you switch apps
- Typing shortcuts: -> becomes →, plus !=, <=, ... and more
- [[ opens the page mention menu
- @now mentions, and dates like "next Monday" or a date range
- Inline equations render in text
- Typing ``` creates a code block
- Embedded forms show as a card you can open
- Formulas and rollups format like on desktop
- Swipe a block left or right to indent or outdent
