.@seanspicer and I have been talking about this for months. 1. Most business is a member of the incumbent party. That is now split, so their money will be too 2. Vance or whoever the nominee is will be batty trying to navigate this. Trump wants to dominate the party for as long as he lives not because he cares about it, but because he wants to be the center of attention and benefit from all that comes with that position. Amazing.

Really curious how many R’s would vote for this and wonder if it could get close to a filibuster proof number in both chambers. They are just so unpopular.

We sat down with Marco Rubio in the White House this afternoon.
He dismissed reports that he was planning to leave the Trump adminstration and refused questions about his political future.
More to come...

Maybe I’m too old, but “is not” , present tense, is different than “will not” in near future.
🚨🚨From a source close to incoming Tennessee Gov. Marsha Blackburn:
"[Pete Hegseth] is not being considered [for Senate]. This is nothing more than Washington, D.C., spin from a bunch of consultants with nothing better to do. The Blackburn team is focused on the transition, not entertaining baseless speculation. Dc won't pick the next senator."

. @seanspicer @rachaelmbade and I talked this morning on @theDChuddle about how long the admin would let this go on and how soon before Trump erupts.
Scoop: The White House delivered a warning to conservative groups on Thursday: We’re watching you wsj.com/politics/elect…

An exclusive to Bloomberg after the market has closed. Smoke signals to the Wall Street and business community fan club?

Smart, prudent decision. A good leader knows change and a strong economy should work together not in conflict.
The governor-elect of Texas, Gina Hinojosa, has explicitly said that all currently permitted datacenters in Texas will be allowed to finish construction. This essentially covers all of the 2027 and likely well into 2028.
She is going to pass laws that ensure that all *newly* permitted datacenters going forward for delivery in 2028/2029 will pay taxes, commit to no increase in power prices for consumers, don’t impact water availability for people, be constructed with union labor and give “Texans a seat at the table.”
Sounds reasonable. She doesn’t want to lose a lot of good blue collar jobs and property taxes for small towns in rural Texas.
Datacenter commentary starts at 6:30 in this interview.
Also attaching her official campaign position from her website in the next post.
Sidenote: After watching a bunch of her speeches and interviews, I do think she is a political talent and probably has a future in national politics.

. @RonDeSantis seems to have learned from his 2022 post-re-elect quiet, and approached it this time with a strategic plan that starts with a media blitzkrieg. Not sure he will be successful, but it's impressive and a sign of growth.
Governor @RonDeSantis nukes the awful @VivekGRamaswamy:
“Ohio Governor! How bad did they beat Vivek? Like a drum! Now, part of that was Vivek, quite frankly. I don't know why they would have pushed him to be the candidate there… Ohio is a working-class state, very blue-collar. did this fake Alzheimer's drug, and he wants to bring in people, foreign workers on visas.”Community noteThe video does not contain the word “fake.” In the Sage Steele interview, Ron DeSantis says Vivek Ramaswamy “did this Alzheimer’s drug,” not “fake Alzheimer’s drug.” The caption misquotes the clip.

A White House source tells me that contrary to reports, JD Vance did not work with White House officials to draft his X post yesterday, it was more like an “FYI I’m sending this” and he did it without asking for feedback or permission.

Interesting listening to @JBPritzker talk to @neeratanden at @amprog forum talk about how he was leading the fight against Trump early in 2025 when many others were not. He then talked about two Governors he called after the tragic incident in MN in Feb, whom he did not name, who hesitated to support @GovTimWalz for fear of upsetting Trump. If you're going to run for President, good to have sharp elbows.

no notes.
We can all do the math. So here it is from @ThirdWayTweet and @TheWelcomeTeam.
Dems can model the overperformers or the underperformers. How are we seriously debating this?? Call me crazy but I want to win big again in 2028.
