India's RBI and FIU are reportedly looking into offshore crypto cards like RedotPay.

You keep stablecoins in a wallet held abroad, pay with a Visa or Mastercard in India, and the shop gets rupees like it would from any debit card. No Indian bank ever sees whose money it was.

RedotPay had already listed India as unsupported back in August. Some users are now seeing their cards deactivated.

If you build cross-border, assume the country where the money gets spent will eventually ask who you are. Have the answer ready before they do

About $400m of this is for Fiddler, which basically tells you what your AI agent did and why. Enterprises will pay more to explain an agent than to make it smarter x.com/IPONewsroom_/s…
CROWDSTRIKE IS BUYING AI SECURITY STARTUPS FIDDLER AND DREADNODE FOR A COMBINED $495 MILLION

CrowdStrike signed a definitive agreement to acquire Fiddler AI, which monitors and explains what AI agents do. It's also buying Dreadnode, which stress-tests AI systems, The Wall Street Fiddler deal:
• Paid mainly in cash, with a portion in stock subject to vesting
• Expected to close in CrowdStrike's fiscal fourth quarter, which ends in January

"Fiddler is the flight recorder for every agent," CEO George Kurtz said.

Dreadnode raised a $14 million Series A in February 2025 from investors including Decibel, In-Q-Tel and Sands Capital, per The Wall Street Journal, CrowdStrike and SecurityWeek.

Stablecoins aren't automatically cheaper. IMF priced 4,005 routes in 270 corridors, a $200 send averages about 2.18%, and the cheapest traditional provider still won about a third of comparable corridors. The chain is cheap. Getting in and out of it isn't

CBN has cut the policy rate from 27.5% to 23% in 13 months. Prime lending rates still rose in 8 of 11 sectors from Aug 2025 to Oct 2026 (Vanguard, from CBN data). Some of that is lag. But with 45% of deposits held at CBN as cash reserve, cheaper loans were always going to trail.

JPMorgan got approval-in-principle from CBN on 23 Oct for a merchant bank in Nigeria. A lot of people are reading it as JPMorgan has launched. It hasn't yet, and the gap between AIP and a full licence is worth knowing if you build anything regulated 🧵

Merchant banks also keep a lot less locked up at CBN. The cash reserve requirement is 16% for merchant banks against 45% for commercial banks. If you want corporate finance and advisory, not retail accounts, that's an easy choice.

So if you sell to big corporates, that's one more bank that can raise capital and advise them. If you run a small business, a JPMorgan account isn't coming your way any time soon. Their West Africa MD, Adedapo Olagunju, is leading it.

Without EBRD and IFC the private book was still about 19.8x oversubscribed, so they weren't rescuing the float. Their $200m came with BdC undertakings on governance and internal policies. That's the part that changes how a state bank runs x.com/MwangoCapital/…
Egypt's Banque du Caire has completed its IPO, listing 45% of its shares on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) as part of the country's privatisation programme.

The EBRD acquired a 6.9% stake for USD 100M, while the IFC invested another USD 100M, bringing their combined investment to ire was Egypt's fourth-largest bank by assets as of June 2026, excluding two other state-owned banks, with the EBRD investment targeting stronger corporate governance, digitalisation, cybersecurity, climate risk management & SME financing.
