The joys of being a gamer parent...

My son thinks he's waiting until Christmas for Ocarina of Time, but it's hiding under the dirty clothes he told me he'd pick up two days ago... 🤷‍♀️

His first puzzle awaits. 😅

Couldn’t get on with my book so delved back into Red Rising for a comfort read. Now on Golden Son and thankful that this time I don’t have to wait a YEAR for Morning Star

M&S have wiped the floor with John Lewis in the Christmas advert wars this year.

John Lewis might as well take the decorations down and go home.

This isn’t just a Christmas advert. This is an M&S Christmas advert. 🎄

Am I the only person who has never played Ocarina of Time? Was it really that good?
I’ve played Breath of the Wild and enjoyed it

Finished. Superb read. #TheSerialKillerSurvivorClub @FionaAnnCummins brilliantly written. Gently told. @laurasherlock21

My hot take: streak freezes shouldn't be a thing. I'm ok with miss a day, end the streak. I can't have a 693 day streak and yet only played 689 games, that's not how it works.

Postie has just delivered. Massive thanks to @laurasherlock21 @FionaAnnCummins #TheSerialKillerSurvivorsClub

Asked what my four favourite films are for Letterboxd and my immediate gut reaction is The Princess Bride. I’ve had some very funny looks from friends who it turns out have never seen it.
Tell me I’m not alone in thinking it’s top tier?

Hard work being a cat

Recently read Jo Murray's Dissection of a Murder and have some thoughts. Have you read it? What did you think?

I read Jo Murray's Dissection of a Murder yesterday and really enjoyed it, with some minor caveats. Have you read it? Here's what I thought:

Ah the sound of a cat barfing on the landing outside my home office. Joy.

third spy book review of the evening, and this one is the third in a series! A Traitor's Call by David Goodman isn't out until next May (sorry) from @headlinepg , but you should definitely add it to your lists.

Damascus Station, by David McCloskey. A properly absorbing spy novel. Can't wait to see what he comes up with next. As recommended to me by David Goodman, author of the fabulous Jamie Tulloch books

I greatly enjoyed Charlie Higson's second foray into the world of the adult James Bond in King Zero with this lovely edition from @GoldsboroBooks
