I wrote a post about how security undervalues preventing problems, and how this can be exasperated by AI and the vulnpocalypse, even though AI should actually make robustness much easier for defenders

In the middle of all this security nonsense, HTTPS became the default, and Chrome now warns before insecure HTTP connections!

You've gotta patch your dependencies super fast because they're full of vulns (PHP, Node, eMudhra, etc), but not _too_ fast because they're full of backdoors (LiteLLM). Good luck!

@dadrian @matthew_d_green Ok Matthew you dont believe David’s empiricism. How about a renowned mathematician? people.csail.mit.edu/virgi/thoughts… David’s “search razor” is a totally plausible theory of success and it lines up with both what we have done and what actual math people think.

It's crazy that there's a tool out there that's become vital to they way I do my job, parent my kids, and make major life decisions; and yet we barely spend more on it than AI
TIL that global spending on alcohol is still larger than AI infrastructure spending this year ($1.7T vs $1.5T)
