Most collecting happens after value is established. This conversation examines what happens before, when a patron commits to an artist's market has confirmed it but because the work demands it. Sam Spratt has spent years building an expanding narrative universe across music, image, and on-chain work. Benjamin Gross bet on that vision early and has sustained that commitment over time. Judy Mam has been both a catalyst and a witness to the relationship between artists and collectors that now defines the digital art community.

It was 2017, and I was on the @sxsw advisory board. I met @PowerDada . They were embedding art onto the ETH blockchain. 🤯 I got them into the Accelerator competition! I minted token #6. It's an ERC20. Minted on the first @cryptopunks contract.
