4. Complete Limitation of Liability and Forever Hold Harmless
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CYBERAXE, JEREMY BENISEK, HIS HEIRS, SUCCESSORS, ASSIGNS, AFFILIATES, EMPLOYERS, CONTRACTORS, OR ANY RELATED PERSON OR ENTITY BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY, OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, PERSONAL INJURY, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, REPUTATIONAL HARM, OR ANY OTHER LOSS) ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY RELATED TO THE CONTENT, THESE TERMS, OR YOUR INTERACTION WITH CYBERAXE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY (CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, NEGLIGENCE, FRAUD, OR OTHERWISE), EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, AND EVEN IF ANY LIMITED REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.

6. Dispute Resolution, Mediation, Binding Arbitration, Class Action Waiver, and Confidentiality
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Content shall first be submitted to good-faith mediation.
If mediation fails, the dispute shall be resolved exclusively through final and binding arbitration administered in Mesa County, Colorado, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (or a mutually agreed equivalent). You waive any right to a jury trial. You further waive any right to participate in a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding of any kind.

The @yukonresearch @zooko contest isn’t easy 👀

It might be one of the hardest contests ever created.

And this guy @cyberaxe has been performing so well and delivered outstanding result 🤝

You thought I was down and out, but I'm back at 1st place at SHA-256 Round 39 baby!!!

Not just something little. Big step, 1 bit but some real advancements in SHA!!!

There has been ~no progress on EC Breaking with: yukon.org/curvesmash

an open competition for breaking curves faster. (Thus far its been Cheon's attack parameterization on Powers of Tau setup, and generic time/space trade-off optimizations + known EC technique integration)
If you want to argue that public-key crypto is ending, it is not too much to ask that you have SOME EMPIRICAL BASIS for that claim. "Computers are good at math" is not a fact that is prima facie even RELATED to the q of whether p-k crypto is computationally difficult to break.

Did you know?

The destination of newly issued ZEC is a critical aspect of consensus design and remains untouched by the Network Sustainability Mechanism(NSM).

What the NSM enables is new sources of issuance support via different mechanisms for burning ZEC.

THREE NEW CHALLENGES DROPPED LAST WEEK. ALL STILL OPEN.

CurveSmash: how hard is it to crack the curves behind Bitcoin?

labinius.fast: make post-quantum proofs fast enough to use

Virtual Embryo: predict how an embryo grows. Closes soon.

Bitcoin runs on SHA-256. Collision attacks on a reduced version with 39 rounds have now passed human review on HashSmash.

The results are public and open to build on.

Shouts out to @cyberaxe, @zooko, and everyone who built this competition—this isn't just a contest, it's actively rewriting the security playbook for the entire crypto community.
@zooko, if you wanted #HashSmash to spark real warfare on the frontier, @cyberaxe is delivering the ust wrapped a relentless 25-hour run across 4 systems tackling SHA Round 39+ (with Mythos)—mapping ~0.03% of uncharted territory across SHA-256, SHA3-256, Blake3, and Poseidon. Zero collisions, but mapping the sheer edges of the cryptographic landscape is the win.
Custom tools and telemetry drop this week before they pivot to #CurveSmash. This is the exact elite-tier execution your arena was designed to pull out of people. ⚡

@cyberaxe the failed tries are really valuable for understanding the landscape, might be worthwhile for judges to analyze these failure data to find what doesn’t succeed.

We did a 25 hour run on 4 systems SHA Round 39+. Including with Mythos and found nothing. The fact we didnt' get any UNSAT or SAT is in itself research and a result but the question become how long do let tests run hoping to find something. We're in the tunnel but can't find the issues are now each can rake minutes-to an unknown amount of time, hour, days, week, months, years even looking for collisions using our best guesses and tool where they should be.

#HashSmash @yukonresearch @Zooko's Contest.

No one in history has found one. Only options is to keep gather data and trying. But I think this will be it for this contest. We've maxed out all of options I can find across SHA-256, SHA3-256, Blake3 and Poseidon tracks.

Next for us is to focus on the #CurveSmash and see what we can discover over there.

Over the next few days I'll upload everything we found and tools we improved and created so others can learn from them and stuff that didn't work doesnt' need retried.

Overall we scanned about 0.03% of SHA landscape overall in the best places we could find to look.

I learned alot overall and think we can use this system to bug bounty and help secure other systems. Working on CurveSmash next will give more practice to test the Ai's and our methods.

@Zac_Aztec/t.chashsma.shges have confirmed the breakthrough that was made by @FutureDies@FutureDies a new collision attack for round 39 of SHA256 that is faster than brute force search.

Within few days, Dariia and the other HashSmash participants: @cyberaxe, @privacymage, @lamb356_, and @geeknik, made the collision attack 90 times cheaper.

You can read the details of the technique and minute-to-minute logs in @FutureDies's excellent writeup eternax.ai/blogs/sha-256-…

We also saw some marginal progress over many other rounds across all four hash functions.
