Someone asked me today: why not build tokenized stocks or bring traditional financial assets onchain?
Those are valuable directions. But I wanted to start with a different question:
Who tells the stories of things the market hasn’t noticed yet?
An old object you’ve kept for eloved pet. A shared memory. A creative project just beginning.
These things may have no standard valuation, yet they carry someone’s love, effort, and lived experience.
The same thing can mean something different to each person. I wanted to create a place where those meanings could be shared and discovered.
That’s why I’m building Custos Finance: to help people share something real, tell its story, and bring together others who connect with it—through conversation and trading that expresses their views and support.
The boundaries matter, too. A story’s meaning is not its token price. Verification of authenticity does not guarantee returns. Buying a token does not automatically grant ownership of the physical item. Prices can change; we want the stories behind them to be seen and heard.
Stocks already have the world’s attention. The things ordinary people treasure deserve a place to be discovered, too.
