went to visit a friend who’s a ceramicist and works in a studio with no phone signal in a tiny yorkshire village. he doesn’t listen to podcasts or music, only occasionally uses the radio, and when I asked him what he thinks about all day he just said “well, pots mostly”

I've been spammed with password reset demand from my Microsoft account. At a rate of 2 per days. Not phishing, just pure brute force.

Password resets needs 6 digits they send by email. So it doesn't seem likely to find anything.

But a malicious actor which try every day, with a dump of millions of leaked account he found somewhere?

Well he will crack a few of those with brute force every day...

Use 2FA.

Person who is reverse engineering his tv gets banned from OpenAI

You aren't allowed to stop your tv from spying on your family. You have to ask for permission

Or, maybe, maybe we accelerate
banned for reverse engineering work? that’s wild

oh well, -$500, and a bunch of banked resets) but gained motivation to get 3 more machines and finish my cluster.

i have never used openai to exploit or find vulnerabilities, only local reverse engineering which tripped daybreak.

🚨 NEW: Kaylub Giamanco, the HERO father who TOOK OUT the Bend, Oregon elementary school shooter last week, tells the story for the first time

"I started hearing children PLEADING for their lives. And then I started hearing gunfire and I just started army crawling faster and lf, this is probably the last thing that I'm ever going to do."

"I have to go in. People are going to die."

"I crawled through the bottom window that was shot out and continued onto the rug inside where there's a little breezeway with stairs."

"And then the special needs classroom was to my left. At that point, I was on the ground on my hands and knees. I re-racked my weapon to make sure that a live round came so that I knew that I was ready to go."

"And then I peeked through the window. And at this point I found my opportunity. And I'd seen a teacher on the left struggling with the gunman on the right with the rifle."

"And I knew that they were on both sides of me, and I knew that he did not know that I was there. And so at that point I swung the door out and open and I stepped in and I fired."

This man deserves the Presidential Medal of FREEDOM! 🇺🇸

AI HACKERS ARE ALREADY INSIDE REAL COMPANIES!!!.

Microsoft just confirmed it.

From Microsoft Threat Intelligence:

“The China state-aligned threat actor Storm-0940 used the agentic AI penetration testing framework ARTEX to automate attacks targeting hundreds of organizations need anyone’s password. They got in through apps that already had access to company accounts, and an AI did the legwork at machine speed.

Even a little preparation helps.

Open your Microsoft, Google and Slack settings today and check the list of connected apps. Remove anything you don’t use or don’t recognise.

That list is how they got in.
The China state-aligned threat actor Storm-0940 used the agentic AI penetration testing framework ARTEX to automate attacks targeting hundreds of organizations globally across a broad range of industries. Microsoft Threat Intelligence assesses that Storm-0940 was responsible for the recently disclosed ConnectWise supply chain compromise of a multitenant application. msft.it/6018aakEE

Our investigation found that Storm-0940's use of ARTEX accelerated the speed of compromised application abuse to authenticate to target environments through applications that had already been granted access, allowing the threat actor to operate without requiring an interactive user sign-in. AI-accelerated follow-on activity included reconnaissance, application credential changes, and attempts to modify privileges that could enable expanded or persistent access.

Read our blog for a detailed analysis and indicators of compromise (IOCs), along with Microsoft Defender detections, protection recommendations, and guidance on investigating service principal sign-ins and unexpected application credential or privilege changes.

Awesome.

"generate infinite energy from a bucket of water, which will inevitably be consumed by Bitcoin miners attached to these artificial stars."
Tulip King leaves Threadguy speechless after dropping a nuclear fusion thesis that changes the entire trajectory of Bitcoin.

He breaks down how future nuclear fusion reactors will generate infinite energy from a bucket of water, which will inevitably be consumed by Bitcoin e artificial stars.

Because governments in the US, Europe, and China need massive amounts of energy to power their AI data centers for constant cyber defense, they are already preparing for this reality.

Tulip King says central banks are in a race to secure their positions today, forcing a flippening between Bitcoin and gold long before the actual fusion technology is completely viable.

Replying to @c7five
@c7five @Microsoft Got half a dozen yesterday. Normally I wouldn't be concerned, but after the Lenovo email I got in August was actually an SSO exploit used to compromise my Dropbox account... now I find these a bit more unnerving.

Got one of these myself yesterday. Lots of people are waking up to @Microsoft password reset codes they never asked for, some several an hour. What I'd do:

Don't enter the code anywhere or read it to anyone who calls.
Sign in yourself at account.microsoft.com, never through activity and flag anything you don't recognize.
Add an authenticator app or passkey.
Under Your info, Sign-in preferences, uncheck any alias that doesn't need to sign in.

An unrequested code means someone has your email address and is hoping you'll supply the rest.
