Announcing my new book about A11Y! ♿
When I first started as a web developer I didn't know anything about best practices for UX
Only after guidance from many wonderful people have I improved; I want to share that ☺️
A11Y is a basic right and improves products for us all 🚀

I've spent 7 years building monorepos and teaching teams how to run them.
Now my AI agent can run the same audit I would.

Jev now accepts images. It's incredibly cheap - can't wait to integrate into a few projects of mine 👀

I turned my engineering preferences into 11 skills for AI coding agents.
Tests that catch real bugs. Accessible UI. Docs that help people get started.
Pick what fits your project and have your agent engineer more like Corbin:

Was looking for an alternative for cross-env's ability to do:
```
ENV_VAR=true some-cmd
```
Cross-platform and it turns out that it's supported in PNPM with a single setting! How handy!

ChatGPT for Android has the ability to replace Gemini as the default assistant.
Android lacks permissions to allow it to use a wake word or android 17 app functions without it being a system app, but it's interesting all the same.
Can even reference installed MCPs

Tanner's quote rings true here. CodeRabbit is an incredible speedup for all of our efforts!
1,049,817 open-source code reviews in September, a new monthly record!
That's 2.49x April's volume and up 14.4% from August.

I am looking for my next career opportunity!
I'm Corbin Crutchley; an engineering leader, consultant, author, and open-source maintainer.
Previously as a VP of Eng, I've sped up engineering efforts for companies. My teams rework large-scale systems while building new features at the same time.
You may also know of my OSS projects (@tan_stack & others) or my books (@playful_program).
Roles I'm looking for:
- CTO / VP of Engineering for small/medium companies
- Staff+ Engineering roles, esp developer tooling
- Consulting gigs
Likewise, if your project is particularly challenging and / or complex, let's talk.
Know of a good role for me? Book some time on my website or reach out in direct messages:

You're managing markdown skills to add functionality to your local agent harnesses
I'm creating bespoke MCPs to use them remotely even without a connected device.
We are not the sam- What do you mean my MCP's toolcalls mistakenly filled my context window?

React 19.3 is out!
Really hyped about Fragment refs and browser APIs. Cool to see ViewTransitions stable too.

To be fair to OAI here (GPT-6 is very good):
It transferred code from another non-React system and didn't add deps from elsewhere to make it better.
IMO there should've been more gaurdrail following, but this is not exactly "generate from scratch" output

I cannot recommend @calcom highly enough.
I've been using their product for years personally and every experience I've had for their org support is delightful.
From uptime to support, DX to UX it's a good time all-in-all.
Seriously; go use it.

- New builtin Trace View in Browser Mode
- Nested projects support
- New benchmarking API
- New `vi.when` API
- Better defaults
- And a lot of bug fixes!
Migrate now with the guide or the migration prompt

ICYMI, Nvidia bought Hugging Face today. I have concerns.
Nvidia is doing better than anyone else to build out a wholesale ecosystem around AI.
But they've historically been a poor host to open ecosystems. See: Linux support.
I suspect HF Cloud to be Nvidia locked in 6 months.

I still cannot believe that PNPM can interactively upgrade GitHub actions the same way it upgrades other NPM deps.

Earlier this year I had the opportunity to help teach a bootcamp based on curriculum from my book and broader Playful content.
Just a dream come true; a full-circle moment for me.
I'm so grateful for everyone who helped out, and to our students for being part of our journey.

This year marked our first ever programming bootcamp. We decided to celebrate our student's graduation with a recap reel:

We are so incredibly inspired by our students and we can’t wait to bring this program back in 2027.

CodeRabbit is used in every OSS repo you can think of and for good reason. Not only are they some of the best fostors of goodwill, but they help us catch bugs before they ship ALL. THE. TIME.
Seriously, so grateful for the tool and their team! 🚀

langflow. bun. ant-design. nuxt. vue. mermaid. pnpm. trpc.
Over 600,000 GitHub stars between them, and CodeRabbit reviews it all, for free.
Next stop: more than $10M into OSS over the next year, counted at what it costs us.
Heres the how and why 👇
