DIFFERENT BUG
Announcing 3 Critical vulns for hundreds of millions of IoT, Firewalls, OT, and Military devices including: Palo Alto Networks, Comcast, D-Link, HP, Canon, Honeywell, GE, Oracle, Siemens, Rockwell, Digi, Lockheed Martin, Boeing...

The vulns are with GoAhead Web Server which is a backend library used by these devices. There's a patch available from GoAhead but that doesn't mean there's a patch available for the devices yet -- that's up to the manufacturer.

- TLS traffic over DHE ciphers have a 1-byte secret, "04", meaning anyone can decrypt connections to these devices and steal login credentials and session tokens if the client negotiated with DHE ciphers like the latest TLS_DHE_RSA_WITH_CHACHA20_POLY1305_SHA256, which is extremely likely.

- LibreSSL mTLS has been completely bypassed, meaning anyone can connect over mTLS. If you have one of these devices listening on the internet and are expecting mTLS to protect it from attackers, take it offline or patch asap.

- OpenSSL Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs) are not enforced, meaning if a user device is stolen or compromised, and you revoke that mTLS cert, nothing actually happens. There are a lot of other attacks this can be used for.

These are critical because these types of devices run our world. Water systems, electricity, military, firewalls, critical infrastructure.

I’ll tell you what this is about:

“Write me a cheque and I will bend RBI regulations through political power to allow Tata Sons to remain unlisted—IF I WIN.”

Essentially an investor sales pitch.
Tata is being criminally destroyed, and no business leader dares say a word.

How long will you stay silent? Until they own you?

Indian business is not Modi and Shah's plaything. You lack courage. We don't. We will ensure justice for these crimes.

Incorrect advice

IT industry severely penalizes those who stick onto a company for a longer time. People who switch periodically, literally double their salary in ~5 years

Keep switching till you can find a better paying job
Microsoft's voluntary exit package is a masterclass in why job hopping is not always the smartest career move.

The package offered for Indian employees : 3 months base pay plus 1 month for every year of service.

Do the math.

Someone who joined Microsoft 8 years ago is walking out with 11 months of salary in hand. That is nearly a full year of runway. Enough time to find the right next role without desperation. Enough capital to start something of your own. Enough breathing room to actually think.

Someone who switched every 2 years chasing a 30% salary hike is walking out with 5 months. Maybe less.

Yes the job hopper probably earned more along the way. But they also gave up something the market rarely values until a moment like this arrives. Tenure. Loyalty. The compound interest of staying.

The Indian tech industry spent a decade glorifying switching. Every LinkedIn post was about how someone left Company A for a 40% hike at Company B. Nobody talked about what they left behind.

Severance packages, vesting schedules, pension benefits, long service awards. These are not relics of a boring corporate life. They are the financial reward for the people who stayed when everyone else was leaving.

The next time someone tells you that you are leaving money on the table by not switching, show them this Microsoft math.

Stability has a price. It also has a payout.

SK Hynix just dropped their latest earnings, and one detail stands out.

All of their HBM and DRAM production is completely booked until 2029.

Any new orders placed right now will only be delivered in 2030.

This basically means zero price drops for RAM and everyday consumer devices until 2030.

Hardware is as cheap today as it is going to get.

Misspelling Finance Minister's name is deliberate. Guess why
Dear Mrs. Sitarama,

1.Which "legal and commercial matter" required Tata Trusts and Tata Sons to be hosted at Amit Shah's residence?

2.When is crony number 1 going to appear in the game and which pieces of Tata is he going to get?

Finally, all India's businesses except 3-4 of your cronies, already hate all of you and don't need any incitement.

This is a common myth. Higher FSI = Lower Prices.
Unfortunately in real estate it often works the other way.
With higher FSI, the value of FSI falls but the cost to consume the FSI - rises. And rises disproportionately.
@VishalBhargava5 Mumbai needs more FSI to make sure housing is affordable. Globally studies show more FSI means more housing and lower overall rate
