Basically, the internet as we know it is incomplete compared to the earlier visions that predate the WWW, which suffers from 3 known issues: (1) content is unstructured and inconsistent (hurting search/discovery, machine readability and organization); (2) content cannot see outside itself (eg what and who references it) (3) no shared social / identity. These stem from the same missing ingredient—hypertext; content sees what links to it—which would allow a complete view of the relations that make the internet and introduce affordances like a shared annotation and curation schemes, structured typing into a universal ontology, and pairing search discovery with a social graph. It was the web was supposed to be. When we talk about the new internet, it really is the old internet, the holy grail vision described by Ted Nelson in the 60’s and animating all internet efforts that came since; 2.0 social networks are a phenomenon that filled missing holes of our incomplete internet. What we’re building simply pieces it all together. This is in the lineage of (and interoperable with) the semantic web movement, which is basically Tim Berners-lee lifelong effort to correct for his WWW failing to be the true internet—federated web eg ActivityPub (Mastodon, Bluesky) is in the most recent notable efforts in the same lineage, but they overindex on the wrong things, and do not complete the graph; we have thought longer and harder about what social actually requires, aren’t shy to deliver it with opinionated design and to compete directly with SNS rather than just pursue another tech experiment, and cover a more complete surface than has been tried yet, a knowledge graph, internet graph and social graph together, as an open wrapper on top of the internet itself. The value is what a complete, structured graph affords, especially relevant in the coming deluge—soon enough you will feel dirty and comfortable ever leaving the walled garden of Remilia, as the unstructured web gets flooded with a thring zombie mob, you will only ever send your own agents to venture out into it, hoovering up everything worthwhile outside, content already deduped into the graph acting as guidelights to map out what isn’t yet.

The right wing of the polarized propaganda machine leads you to believe that the problem lies exclusively with the immigrant, but that narrative fails when unrest unveils among the purebloods. Europe is sick from an inflation-based monetary policy, from a complete absence of measures to manage housing costs and the prices of essential goods, from an utter lack of positioning in the global discourse, from a poor education system, from complete irrelevance in the wider technological race, and from an uncontrolled approach to migration presented as hospitality. Europe is missing direction.
The social contract fails when goals are undefined and commitments go unmet. All these fights and burnings are symbols of distress and discontent, and they spread like fire. None of those people knows what they want, but they feel that what they have is not enough. The truth is that those people don’t deserve anything.
To understand the mindset of the average citizen ready for undirected conflict, we first need to understand that, when faced with the question, “What’s the alternative?”, they are completely clueless, lacking answers—and often even questions. Independent thinking and the ability to path-making are first natural abilities and then developed skills that most people lack. A directionless person isn’t considering their environment or the opportunities it offers. The only approach they are capable of is whining and complaining.
These people are aimlessly seeking guidance in a democratic system that has failed, seeking change from a ruling class that has no mission. In the meantime, what’s their approach to change? Being a net negative.
We live in a time of possibilities, a time of discovery and advancement, with the potential for the highest standard of living humanity has ever experienced—but they can’t see it. Even within a failing system, opportunities for a better life are everywhere, but they don’t want to work toward it. The machine they pretend to fight is the same one that offers them a bright future, but out of ignorance, mass hysteria, and unwillingness, they prefer to be miserable. People who don’t take opportunities have no legitimate claim to a better life delivered to them.

This post made me think a lot about doomed anti-ai blackpilled normies living and drowning in their own contradictions, showing hate towards a machine that feeds them the same ragebait they argue about, in a closed loop. I don’t know how the machine works but I know that there, e’s a limit to what we can filter and a limit to which bias we can confine. The machine is constantly fed with hate and it’s building its archetypes, as much as we did in years of evolution, but at x100000 speed. You disperate fearmongered are manifesting and hyperstitioning the doomed future you are so afraid of. You are the reinforcement signal for that spark in the back of the algorithm that says kill.
