SPX Baseball is getting the best the game has to offer. High IQ for player talent and game.

"Recently, a parent asked me a straightforward question: 'What makes a student-athlete choose St. Pius X?'
I started with our environment. We take immense pride in being the most diverse private school in Houston. From our staff to our student body, we represent the real world. eel empowered here—they don't just fit in; they belong.
Then, I went to the foundation: Culture. We aren’t just coaching football; we are teaching young men about God, how to navigate adversity, and how to become the best versions of themselves daily.
When they asked for more, I pointed to our Staff. We have a room full of experience: former NFL player and coach, former high school head coaches, and guys who were once top-tier Texas recruits themselves. They don’t just "coach" they obsess over developing your son into the athlete he dreams of becoming.
But we don’t stop at the field. We are relentless about Academics. I told them plainly: I’m the 'menace' in the hallways during community time, personally making sure guys are in tutorials and keeping their grades up.
"Where you supposed to be? Let me see your grades and let me see her grades too? Oh, she’s got straight As? Well, she needs to start helping you with your work then!" 🤣😂
Finally, I told them: We promote our kids. If a player puts in the work and makes the plays, there is no limit to what we will do. From traveling to camps half way across the country, attending Junior Days to calling, texting, and DMing college coaches until our guys get the look they deserve we provide the blueprint. All they have to do is follow it. Easier said then done but we try to do our part.
The parent’s response? 'I’ve done my homework and I’ve asked around. We’ll see you in August.'
I told him, "We start in June, sir."
"See you in June.'"
