9/ Practice these challenges

Try experimenting with your model:

âś… Increase n_estimators from 150 to 300.
âś… Change max_depth and observe overfitting.
âś… Lower the learning rate and increase the number of trees.
âś… Compare precision, recall, and F1-score.
âś… Compare feature Forest.
âś… Use cross-validation for more reliable evaluation.

6/ Explore feature importance

XGBoost provides feature-importance scores that help you understand which features the trained model relies on.

But remember: feature importance does not prove causation, and the rankings can change with different datasets and model settings.

7/ XGBoost can also predict continuous numerical values.

For example, use scikit-learn's Diabetes dataset with XGBRegressor.

Evaluate the predictions using:

MAE — Mean Absolute Error
RMSE — Root Mean Squared Error
R² — Coefficient of Determination

Lower MAE and RMSE are generally better. An R² closer to 1 is generally better.

4/ XGBoost vs Random Forest

Random Forest:

• Builds many trees largely independently
• Combines their predictions
• Uses bagging

XGBoost:

• Builds trees sequentially
• Each boosting round improves the current model
• Uses gradient boosting

Neither algorithm wins uate both on your data.

3/ Why is XGBoost so popular?

High predictive performance
Optimized training
Regularization to help control overfitting
Feature importance analysis
Support for classification and regression

It is especially effective on many tabular datasets.

2/ How does boosting work?

Unlike Random Forest, which builds many trees largely independently, XGBoost builds trees sequentially.

Each new tree helps improve the existing model by reducing the errors made in previous boosting rounds.

The result? A stronger combined prediction.

1/ What is XGBoost?

XGBoost stands for Extreme Gradient Boosting.

It is an optimized machine learning algorithm based on gradient-boosted decision trees.

It is widely used for:
• Classification
• Regression
• Ranking
• Structured data prediction

Python developers trying to understand Lists, Arrays, and Linked Lists!

Python Lists: “We can store almost anything!”

Arrays: “Let’s talk about efficient numerical computing.”

Linked Lists: “I connect nodes using pointers!”

Meanwhile, the developer: “WHAT THE HELL IS hey all store collections of data, but their internal structures, memory usage, and performance characteristics are different.

Quick reminder:

Python Lists — Dynamic, flexible collections.
Arrays — Great for storing elements of a specific type and numerical operations.
Linked Lists — Nodes connected through references, useful in specific data structure problems.

The real question is: Can you explain the difference between all three in an interview? đź‘€

Most developers know SQL syntax. But do you know the order in which SQL processes a query?

Understanding SQL Query Execution Order makes complex queries much easier to write, debug, and optimize.

Here’s the logical processing order:

FROM — Identify source tables
JOIN — Combine Filter rows
GROUP BY — Group records
HAVING — Filter groups
SELECT — Choose columns and expressions
ORDER BY — Sort the final results

Pro tip: WHERE filters rows before grouping, while HAVING filters groups after aggregation.
