Haven-1’s 15 composite overwrapped pressure vessels (COPVs) hold thruster propellant, breathing oxygen, and cabin pressure gas. The orange patches on the propellant tanks are Kapton heaters for in-orbit mass gauging and deorbit. Next up: integration on Haven-1.

The GEM 63XL has a 1-in-6 nozzle ejection rate. Usefully, ULA are flying the Vulcan with 6 SRBs, so if they all survive, then we know it's been fixed. Sorta.
But then targeting Friday the 13th for a Return-To-Flight mission... 😂

The launch of a United Launch Alliance Vulcan VC6L rocket carrying the next batch of production satellites for @AmazonLeo, Vulcan Leo 1, is planned for Friday, Nov. 13, pending range approval. bit.ly/vulcan_leo1

@steveg3215 Well (at launch) Orion weighs 33,446kg, and Vulcan VC6S is advertised at 25,800kg to the orbit of the ISS.
BUT! If you remove the Launch Abort System, Orion lightens to 26,520kg... so sort of I guess maybe?

@dpoddolphinpro @steveg3215 The abort system is jettisoned a little over 3 minutes into the flight on SLS and Vulcan should be similar so the penalty would not be as bad as one would think.

funny how this movie came out in 1993, yet almost everything it predicted is slowly becoming reality

@chan_lambda @3CC0__ Sony was very happy to license MD to almost any company. The actual problem was that MD never caught on in the west. By the time MD players got cheap, we already had CD-Rs so the MD’s recording capability was kinda moot. It didn’t help that the RIAA was already hounding their ass

@Ret_Art69 @3CC0__ I thought the license was expensive while the ones needed for CD-R was cheap.

@ThatSoulBridge The good ol late 60s ultra death ray.
Sure the newer models are more energy efficient but that lack that charm.
