I’ve had enough of the whole Markle drama.
The whole saga has descended into something resembling an episode of The Jerry Springer Show. We have allegations of an extremely disturbing nature being made against Thomas Markle, his son publicly accusing him, claims that Meghan ons for 8 years, but never told anyone, and Samantha Markle defending her father. It is an absolute shit show of epic proportions, a sordid mess of accusations, counterclaims, family feuds and conflicting accounts. Quite frankly, the whole thing has become a circus, with deeply serious allegations being almost forgotten in all this mess. And given this family’s long history of public disputes, contradictions and accusations against one another, I think we should be extremely cautious about accepting anybody’s version of events at face value.
Now I will add, there has been no confirmed police investigation into these particular claims, no publicly verified examination of the alleged evidence and no established criminal findings against Thomas Markle. That doesn’t mean the allegations are necessarily false, any more than making them means they must be true. There are questions and apparent inconsistencies that deserve proper scrutiny, but those are matters for investigators and not the media, who are in full swing pushing their ‘Saint Meghan’ routine and we all must apologise to her. Sorry, but she did have a responsibility to ensure something was being looked into given the nature of these alleged crimes. As Harry said ‘Silence only allows the abuser to abuse’. We are talking about allegations involving the sexual exploitation of children, among the most serious accusations imaginable, you don’t sit on your hands with information like that.

Meghan has been bad mouthed for years over the treatment of her Father. Shes been labelled, cold, cruel and heartless. You’re telling me that she had this information in her back pocket and hasn’t thought to use it once? A little hint and everyone would have backed off and she nt. This is a woman that said she was abused because she had to wear tights, had to learn the national anthem and Catherine wouldn’t lend her lipgloss!
But she decided to keep this quiet? Decided not to follow up on why her father hadn’t been arrested or put in prison? If she KNEW he was guilty, no room for doubt, that’s why she cut him off, then she had a responsibility to report him and to follow up on this. Meghan has set herself up as a voice for women and girls and a campaigner for online child safety, yet she remained silent? None of this adds up. If this is true and Thomas is guilty, he should go to prison for the rest of his days. But if Meghan is lying, and there was no letter, then she should also be questioned over this. The police are now investigating this matter, if Meghan’s given them false information then she’s not just lying, she’s wasting police resources.

The problem with this Allie Beth Stuckey take is that people are sick and tired of this shallow, feminized, finger wagging preaching of Christianity that she consistently engages in. Christians "should not engage in the scary" is way more nuanced than just avoiding horror movies or stories that scare you.
One of the most horrific stories a Christian can read is the passion and death of Jesus. The movie, The Passion of the Christ, by Mel Gibson is horrifying, scary, gorey, etc. Should we not watch it or engage in it because it disturbs and scares us?
Remembering that you are going to die (Memento Mori), remembering that you are dust, and to dust you will return, is scary, disturbing, and uncomfortable. You must do it, though.
Halloween actually comes from Christian history, "All Hallows Eve," the day before All Saints Day, where we remember all of the saints that gave up their lives for the faith. Guess what? Those saints were tortured, beheaded, boiled alive, eaten by lions, crucified upright and upside down, pulled apart, and so on. All VERY SCARY AND VERY DISTURBING. But we must remember it.
Every human being must confront their own death, evil, and their sinful nature in this life. They must face the fundamental spiritual reality that there is an Enemy out there seeking the ruin of their soul. Avoiding this, and remaining naive to it, lack of vigilance, is extremely detrimental. "Do not fear," means that God is with us despite the fear, evil, and the Enemy we all inevitably must face in this life.
God is stronger, grace helps us win, but that is WITHIN this valley of tears. "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for you are with me."
We should NEVER open ourselves up to and invite evil in. But we must always confront the evil and the scary, and remember that life not all sunshine and rainbows.

Liberty of conscience protects worship. It doesn't protect a political program for conquest. Islam is that kind of program, and we can keep it out without handing a “Christian prince” power over your church.
Also, Islam is not a religion.

This type of stuff is why Christian movies and music are terrible and almost never get mainstream attention
The left gained control of Hollywood by putting their messages subtly into stories most people could relate to
For example, I had to explain to my poor devout Christian brother that George Harrison was a Hindu and My Sweet Lord is not about Jesus, but it doesn't become obvious until the final part of the song
But as a Christian, I can still relate to the feeling he's expressing in that song because Harrison was a great songwriter. Apart from the last verse, it is hard to tell which Lord he's talking about because good writing requires that kind of subtley
Traditional Western horror has always been subtley pro Christian
Think about what hurts vampires
Crosses. Holy water. Churches. The reason they can't see their reflection is because they don't have souls. These are all essential staples in vampire lore. Bram Stoker was a Christian
Who are the heroes in The Exorcist?
The priests
In fact, The Exorcist is about a priest struggling with his faith and he comes back to God after encountering true evil. Reagan's mom in the story starts out as an atheist, and she gets blindsided by the reality of spiritual warfare when she realizes secular doctors can't help her daughter. The author of the book and screenwriter of the film, William Peter Blatty, was also a Christian
Ed and Lorraine Warren were devout Christians who wielded their faith to save countless people from demons
The point of horror is to show how evil the world can be, and that good prevails if you're willing to fight for what's right and true
Christian authors used to understand the importance of subtly in storytelling (Lord of the Rings being another fantastic example), and secularists in Hollywood learned from their craft
But now thanks to people like Allie who have a proverbial stick up their butts, modern Christian authors are scared stiff of writing anything with more grit than Veggie Tales
Until Christians are willing to write stories about people who cuss, people who cry, people who fornicate, people who scream and suffer and are damaged and make horrible decisions that put themselves in such a deep hole that only Jesus can pull them out, our stories will always be boring and unrelateable to the average person
What's funny, though, is now Hollywood is making the same mistake by forcing woke nonsense into everything, which many Christian conservatives will correctly make fun of, but then they don't see the irony in that their own creative works have the same artistic problem

Love Allie Beth, but this is part of the problem our next generation faces. Their choice is woke propaganda-ridden stories leading them to believe they are possibly Eve instead of Steve…
Meanwhile, we have Christians with a God-given gift of storytelling who are forbidden to create something that will rival the above.
Don’t mistake a plot device for a world view.
The Bible, the best book in the world, is full of horror and darkness.

Two things can be true at once
1. That order must be restored. Rioters must be stopped. Mass migration must be halted. And unity within western populations must be restored. (Some of this is the government’s job. Some of it isn’t.)
2. Dialectical warfare is happening, where one side’s extremism provokes an equal/opposite extremism, only creating a perfect storm for widespread authoritarianism to fill the gap created. This is what both fascists and communists do — they use the other’s sins as excuse to ramp up their own, while normal society is caught in the middle. This is where discernment is most needed, as to not provoke an even worse outcome.
Posts like this from NtB (and most of the online Right) get point 1 right, but completely, and unfortunately, miss point 2.
The Right, like the Left, seems to have lost their sense for wisdom entirely.

The GOP has put forth some imperfect candidates this time, but as far as I can tell nearly all of them are running against total lunatics from the Democrats who will set this country back and do irreparable damage if they're given the chance. Republicans should vote big.

America is 250 years old.
9/11 was 25 years ago.
Ten percent of our history has come and gone since that terrible day.
A generation.
90 million Americans have been born since. Twenty-five percent of our people weren’t even alive when the world stopped turning.
They do not remember because they cannot.
So today we remember, those of us who can. We tell the story so those born too late to remember may know.
We call to mind the lessons, many of which have already been lost to time and decay, to conspiracy theories and cynicism peddled for money and fame and power:
That ignoring the world does not mean the world ignores us.
That competition between civilizations does not end simply because we claim the board is settled.
That peace is not the norm, but the exception, and is purchased only by strength and will.
And that a nation that sneers at its own mission and mythology will not long remain a nation at all.
That the barbarians are always at the gate—and inside it.
We mourn the unimaginable loss of that day, when our sleeping nation was jolted awake for a moment, only to doze again.
We pray that our eyes might one day remain open.
