I’ve always been two sided about the ROI of events tbh
The crypto industry is big on them, and as such I really enjoy meeting people IRL
But there is a particular breed of people who are in our business that seem to be consumed by this idea of “networking” with no tangible ROI as such

This video is just proof of how braindead the ruling class of politicians in India are
“Hey so our citizens make the best slaves in the world, and we don’t give a shit about labour laws, proud Indian saaar”
What he says is actually true though, because a lack of resource has essentially created a race for the most basic stuff, no one cares about being exploited

“Indians want to work hard. Nobody in India will tell you it’s five o’clock. And certainly no Indian will ever remind you it’s the weekend,” jokes Commerce Minister Goyal with Dutch business leaders

Past the age of 25, most experiences are a remix of a previous experience
Think about it, you have done most of your “firsts”
You will never smoke for the first time again
You will never travel outside your own country for the first time again
You will never meet your first girlfriend again
Everything is just a slightly different version of a previous experience

Met an Australian woman in Vietnam
27, blonde, travelling solo for a year now
We started chatting about life and travels
She told me to never fall for these kind of retarded tweets
I wish her all the best

Monad is quietly killing it on the lending side, specifically for tokenized assets deposits.
At over $300M in tokenized asset lending deposits, it is currently ranked 3rd behind Ethereum and Solana.

- Stop waiting for the perfect time to do stuff
- Stop thinking about whether you can do something or not
- Stop asking for permission to do stuff

low trust, zero sum society
every one had that rich relative who everyone else would refer to as having "haram ka paisa"
turns out that guy was just smarter than you, and instead of collaborating you'd rather play a zero sum game

a big issue on why india isn't able to do a lot of big things is that whenever someone does something big we're conditioned to look at it with envy instead of appreciation
the first thought is this person is privileged, or lying, or made this up, or some other excuse to bring them to the ground and never really i wonder how they did this, maybe i could do this myself
if we just start off with being curious and maybe changing the mindset from "i can't ever do this, this person is different" to "this person did it, so can i"
i'm sure it'll lead to way more big wins

26-29 is the age where you realize that life is not a linear trajectory
Some of your friends will be getting married and probably having kids, doing way better than they were a couple years back
Others who were doing great would be in weird discovery phase trying out different things in career, relationships, etc
No one is winning or losing though, and everything changes again in a couple years

I understand that this is ragebait
But here is why it works:
Desi brains are hard wired for scarcity and survival
And we cannot comprehend living in a resource rich society, where you don’t have to fight for resources and be on a treadmill to make more money
Yeah sure, Instagram sold a travel lifestyle, but same is true for the hustle culture we have ingrained into our society, we were sold a lifestyle too
The same reason we don’t have a concept of “breaks” in India, people judge you for taking time to figure it out, so if you’re not on a perpetual treadmill of jobs, education, or a path to marriage, you’re a loser.

met a german girl in bali.
27, travelling solo, quit her job to “find herself.”
no house, no savings, still paying off her student loans.
told me she doesn’t want kids because she wants to see the world first.
her biggest achievement this year was watching the sunset in 8 different countries.
instagram sold her a lifestyle she can’t afford.
i wish her the best.
