‼️103 MPH HISTORY‼️
Jack Bauer just became the hardest throwing pitcher in high school history, topping 103 MPH in the regional championship (ranging 97–102) touching 103MPH 2 times🔥 (Confirmed by MLB Scout Radars at the game Saturday)
Two years ago, he walked through our w he’s breaking records👇🏼
This didn’t happen overnight.
It was year-round discipline — offseason and in-season. Relentless reps. Intentional recovery. And a support system that always had his back.
It’s been a privilege to play a role in his journey — and to collaborate closely with his agent, Matt White from Boras Corporation, to ensure every decision puts his development, health, and long-term success first.
Some athletes are born with a gift. But what separates Jack is the work behind the talent. He’s done everything right, and this is just the beginning.
Proud. Grateful. Inspired.

‼️ MEDBALL WORK 🌪️‼️
Implementing a front leg hook constraint with this medball variation helps emphasize the back half while allowing us to work on controlling that initial linear movement toward home plate.
Something we commonly see with pitchers is either excessive drift of getting stuck on the back leg from trying to sit too early without creating enough linear movement toward home plate.
A lot of people think pitching is predominantly about rotation, but tend to overlook how important the linear components are throughout the delivery.
At the beginning of the delivery, we’re creating linear movement toward home plate while organizing the rotational components of the body. As we approach front foot strike, the interaction between linear and rotational movement plays a major role in how the trunk accelerates and how that energy is transferred through the throwing arm.
Just look at the difference in stride length between a pitcher and a hitter. Both involve linear and rotational movement, but the demands and how those movements are organized are different.
Pitching has a significant linear component that works alongside rotation. It’s understanding how those movements complement each other that becomes important when evaluating an athlete’s delivery.
This is where implementing different constraints can be beneficial. Rather than forcing an athlete into a specific position, we’re creating an environment that challenges them to organize and control movement more effectively.

What actually validates an exercise as being performed correctly?
Two athletes can perform the same exercise with completely different movement strategies. Does that automatically make one right and the other wrong?
Every movement is influenced by an individual’s morphology, physical capabilities, motor control, previous adaptations, and the constraints of the task.
Yet, we often label movement as “correct” or “incorrect” based on preconceived ideas of what an exercise should look like.
Are we evaluating an athlete’s ability to solve a movement problem, or simply their ability to reproduce a movement pattern that we believe is correct?
There’s a difference between observing movement and validating its effectiveness.

BSF Remote Athlete | Colin DiRocco (California)
Striking out the side down in Jupiter, FL!
FB: T92 | Sitting 90–91 MPH
One of the top LHP in the country, Colin has been developing with us remotely for nearly two years, continuing to make strides in his overall development and d.
With his fall competition wrapping up, we’ll transition into a structured deload phase before progressing through his offseason on-ramp to prepare for a big spring season.
A lot of upside with this arm, and we’re excited to keep building on the progress he’s made!

BSF Professional Athlete | Connor Oliver (Pittsburgh Pirates)
Back in-house for another offseason with us!
Last week, we established his baseline force plate metrics along with motor output testing on the PT table.
After a long season of throwing, assessing motor output gives o his neuromuscular function, force production capabilities, and potential changes in strength across different joint positions. This allows us to better understand how his body is responding to the demands of the season and establish a starting point for his offseason programming.
Connor is coming off a strong 2026 season in the Pirates organization, starting in High-A before earning a promotion to Double-A and finishing with 114.2 innings pitched!
Looking forward to another productive offseason and continuing to build on his success heading into 2027!

BSF Athlete | Zach Hise (Free Agent RHP)
Strong showing from Zach in this past Saturday’s bullpen. Great pitch execution across a legitimate 4-pitch arsenal with some impressive movement profiles.
Pitch Movement Breakdown:
4-Seam FB: 18–23” IVB | 14–17” HB
Sinker: 7–10” IVB | to -5” IVB | -13 to -15” HB
Changeup: 3–6” IVB | 15–18” HB
Fastball Velocity averages between 90–93 MPH | T94.5
What stands out is the separation in movement profiles across his arsenal, giving him multiple options to attack hitters with different shapes and movement directions.
A ton of upside with Zach as we continue refining his pitch execution and overall development.

When evaluating a pitcher, especially one with a history of UCL reconstruction, labrum surgery, or rotator cuff injury, there are three things I want to better understand:
The materials
The control
The sensory experience
These three concepts help guide our decision-making.

This is where assessment becomes more than collecting numbers.
Strength testing, range of motion, movement assessments, throwing progression, and athlete feedback all provide different pieces of information.
No single measurement tells the entire story.
The objective is to connect those findings to make better programming decisions.

At the end of the day, the more we understand about an athlete’s structural history, how they control movement, and what they’re experiencing throughout the process, the better we can determine what they actually need.
That’s where the value of a thorough assessment comes into play. It gives us a better rationale for what we choose to implement, modify, or avoid within their programming.
