I'm giving up on running online tournaments, there's just no legacy/online emphasis in most cases, it was a good project it lasted, but we'll see how this "secondary retro stream" part work in my local FGC

As hard as the OGs/top players go hard on the newcomers, the newcomers can't expect everything to be handed to them.
If you deal with me, I'll break that unwritten rule, but you can't make relations with your local scene within 12 months, it comes "spoiled behavior" at this point

I was the given permission and blessing that I'm allowed to setup this station at the next monthly, the objective is to "keep the legacy alive", let's see what we can make of this start

With all this SF4 going on now, I just had a historical question: How did your local scene settle it's "internal console crisis" when Vanilla SF4 released? What is your scene's main standard (PS3, 360)?

Coming from GTA/Toronto: Starting August 2009, Sony wasn't into "pro gaming" + Toshiba wanted in on this, so they did three tourneys where the winner got a 42" HDTV (priced $2,000). Ever since these tourneys, we play our Capcom games on XBOX 360.

Been seeing more of these deals lately, VSB is too soon, but XSB/Mixup is a backup if CEO can't be done

Found out this person's first tournament happens to be XSB 2024, so anything of "secret MTLSF OG" is out of the question
