Bill C-38, the Canadian Fuel Affordability Act, is now law.

It extends the suspension of the federal fuel excise tax, Canadian families will keep saving 10 cents a litre on gas this winter.

Lower costs at the pump. More money in Canadians' pockets.

A moment ago in Calgary - a police motorcade carrying Private Aidan Goulding, who died in the CFB Wainwright tragedy, drove down Crowchild Trail flanked by saluting officers & Canadian flag hung by the FD. They traveled from med. examiners office towards a funeral home in the SE.

Historic day for Canada and Europe, with huge prospective upside for strengthening our economy
At the turn of the last century, Jean Monnet discovered Canada's pioneering spirit.

He brought that spirit back to Europe.

And went on to become one of the founding fathers of our Union.

Today, that same spirit inspires us to explore a historic first:

Canada becoming the EU’s first associate member ↓

British Columbia is central to building a more prosperous Canada.

This afternoon, Premier-designate @LDoerkson and I discussed how we can seize major economic opportunities across the province, build out infrastructure, and unlock our full potential as an energy superpower.

Building British Columbia and Canada strong, for all.

Sigamos juntos.
Congratulations, President @LulaOficial, on your re-election in Brazil.

The relationship between Canada and Brazil has flourished under our partnership. Let’s seize this opportunity to make it even stronger, together — to create major new trade opportunities, protect the environment, and build greater prosperity for both our peoples.

Turnout, turnout, turnout

Organizing + mobilization = progress
How did Lula come from behind to crush Bolsonaro?

In short, turnout.

Bolsonaro's vote share barely moved. Lula banked millions of votes from those who didn't vote in 1st round and won eliminated candidates' votes.

A remarkable mobilisation. 2nd round turnout usually below 1st.

We're just hours away from electing the MLAs who will help lead our province through a moment of real consequence for B.C. and for all of Canada.

This summer's Canada–B.C. Cooperative Prosperity Agreement is one key recent example of the kind of work this moment demands, and it. It invests in major projects throughout the province and in new transportation infrastructure to move people and goods faster across the Lower Mainland, and it expands our port capacity so we can ship more of what we make to new global markets. It builds clean power, like the North Coast Transmission Line, all while protecting our coast and committing to genuine partnership with First Nations.

I believe that's a fundamental standard to hold every candidate to, in tomorrow's big choice.

Let's elect MLAs who are ready to work with every order of government to deliver the infrastructure B.C. needs, open new markets for our exporters, and, crucially, build sustainably, build in real partnership with First Nations, and build in solidarity with our workers. Voting with our values and commitments like these is how we build our communities strong as we build Canada Strong.

Voting is fast and easy, and polls are open Saturday from 8am–8pm. So bring a friend, and go out and VOTE! 🇨🇦🗳️

Interesting numbers on last weekend’s BC local elections 👇
The narrative out there that BC local elections last week were about tossing out incumbents and "time for a change" is not supported by the statistics. #bcpoli

Signed the book of condolence for Pte. Aidan Goulding, Pte. Hayden Lykkemark, Pte. Shaun Farrell & Sgt. Morgan Wong, remembering their extraordinary service.

My heart is with their families & the 27 soldiers still in hospital. We owe them all our support for the long road ahead.
