In the next version of Oxlint, raw AST transfer will get 5x faster for js plugins (if you are using Node.js 24+).

Love competition.
It prints 100% conformance but actually it's not.
The conformance suite is not checking whether the diagnostics are correct or not. Disastrous in the agentic era.
I haven't checked in detail but its suite mimics Oxc, maybe just copy the whole thing instead of a AI fork?

I found a weird phenomenon on benchmarks. I no longer trust any benchmarks.
If I work on X and you work on Y. X wins if I create the benchmark with my agent, Y wins if you create the benchmark with your agent.
For example tsrs's first benchmark made TypeScript absurdly slow by adding `--extendedDiagnostics`, but it was not present in tsrs.

typescript compiler
lexical -> oxc_lexer & oxc_parser
syntax -> oxc_parser & oxc_ast
semantic -> oxc_semantic
type checking -> tsrs
transforms -> oxc_transformer, oxc_minifier, oxc_mangler, oxc_isolated_declarations
codegen -> oxc_codegen
what do we need more?

We're seeing significant improvements with our new inline common chunks feature! It's substantially reducing the number of small chunks in some of our internal projects.
We're still refining it, but we've put together an in-depth guide explaining how it works:

Your linter, bundler, and dev server all parse the same JS over and over. No matter the parsing cost, they all pay it.
@Shanshrew made it 2x faster on 95% of files, landing in Oxc soon.
Meaning @vite_js, Rolldown and Oxlint all benefit.

Agents can create a working solution, but definitely not always a simple one.
Find out how this impacted Oxc's performance, and how @overlook_motel squeezed another 2x on top of AI changes in his talk "Clever is Stupid" at @ViteConf

I now have a ChatGPT Pro plan that wasn't tested thoroughly on the billing system, I helped and became its first user, again!
I was the first few people that received the Codex open source program before it was publicized 😂.
Thank you so much @charliermarsh for the help!

I lost my codex open source program last night 🥲
Do I have friends at @OpenAI who could pass my new application? Thank you!

49 days later, TypeScript is rewritten to Rust at least 3 times.
Which Rust TypeScript fork is the fastest?
I benchmarked 3 different ones in Framer's monorepo.
The results:
🏆 tsrs: 5.5s, 2.6 GB RAM (v0.5.0)
🥈 bun check: 7.3s, 1.6 GB (v1.4.3-canary.1)
🥉 tsc-rs: 10.3s 8, 7.1 GB (v0.1.0)
tsgo: 25s, 10 GB (v7.0)
