I'm excited to share our newest publication on hydrogel wound dressings to deliver phage therapy. We show that topical, sustained phage delivery using hydrogels is more effective than intravenous phage delivery. Check it out here: rdcu.be/yrPRzjdC8qLa

Building on these insights, we developed HydroPhage, a phage-containing hyaluronan-based hydrogel formed with dynamic covalent crosslinks that delivers high-
titer phages over 1 wk. Sustained release with HydroPhage is an improvement over burst release by conventional hydrogels.

In this work, we first sought to determine the requirements for effective phage therapy in a mouse model of Pseudomonas aeruginosa wound infections. We found that sustained, topical delivery was more effective than IV delivery.
