Political Goodwill Must Deliver for Kileleshwa!

Advancing Kileleshwa’s agenda requires political goodwill, strategic engagement and the ability to knock on the right doors. I helped take an important matter raised by the Kileleshwa Ward Neighbourhood Association (KIWANA) to the Edwin Sifuna @edwinsifuna . We now await its progression to a full Senate hearing.

Kileleshwa needs representation that turns community concerns into action.

KILELESHWA DESERVES LEADERSHIP THAT LISTENS AND ACTS!

Kileleshwa has been yearning for leadership that listens to residents, responds to their concerns, and takes action. I believe in accessible and accountable leadership that keeps residents at the centre of decision-making and interests.

Kileleshwa deserves a leader who listens, acts, and delivers.

RADICAL CITIZEN ACTION: KILELESHWA MUST SPEAK UP!

Professor Omenya’s @aomenya call for radical activism resonates with the challenges facing Kenya and Kileleshwa, particularly concerns over high-rise developments and the role of planning authorities. Article 1 of our reign power in the people, who can exercise it directly or through their elected representatives. Citizens must use this power to demand accountability, responsible planning and development that protects their communities.

Kileleshwa’s future cannot be left to chance.

20 YEARS IN KILELESHWA. A LIVED EXPERIENCE THAT COUNTS.
Living in a community for over 20 years gives you more than an address; it gives you first-hand experience of its challenges, its growth and its potential.

I have called Kileleshwa home for over two decades. I understands ce and believe our Ward can be a better place for everyone.

Kileleshwa’s future must be shaped by an understanding of its people and their lived experiences.

KILELESHWA’S VOICE MUST NEVER GO SILENT!

The Kileleshwa Stakeholder Engagement continues to bear fruit months later. It brought residents together for meaningful conversations about the future of our Ward and the issues that matter most to our community.

This is the model of : listening to residents, encouraging open dialogue and ensuring that the people of Kileleshwa have a voice in decisions that affect their lives.

In 2027, if entrusted with the responsibility of representing Kileleshwa as its MCA, I intend to carry this spirit of engagement forward. Leadership must never be a one-off conversation during campaigns; it must be a continuous partnership with the people.

Present. Listening. Working.

TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY: THE LEADERSHIP KILELESHWA DESERVES

Transparency and accountability are the foundation of good governance in Kenya. Edwin Sifuna @edwinsifuna has consistently raised these issues, emphasising the need for leaders to be answerable to the people values that resonate with the leadership I advocate for in Kileleshwa. As I seek to serve as MCA in 2027, I believe residents deserve a representative who asks the hard questions, demands accountability, and puts the public interest first. Leadership must be about serving the people, not serving oneself.

UNPLANNED DEVELOPMENT IS A DANGER WE CAN NO LONGER IGNORE

The collapse of the building in Eastleigh yesterday is a stark reminder of the dangers of unplanned development and the devastating consequences of ignoring proper planning and safety standards.

In Kileleshwa, where buildings are rising almost beacon to beacon, residents continue to live with growing anxiety as development outpaces essential infrastructure and proper oversight. It is becoming increasingly clear that someone at City Hall is sleeping on the job

A Local Physical and Land Use Development Plan (LPDP) for Kileleshwa is long overdue. Our residents deserve a neighbourhood where development is orderly, infrastructure is adequate, and safety is not sacrificed at the altar of profit.

We cannot afford to wait for a similar tragedy to strike before taking action. We shall continue to push for a comprehensive LPDP to protect Kileleshwa residents and secure the future of our neighbourhood.

LEADERSHIP MUST COME WITH A PLAN, NOT JUST PROMISES.

Kenyans deserve to know a leader’s agenda before handing them the mandate—and, just as importantly, how they intend to deliver on it.

Edwin Sifuna @edwinsifuna has outlined his plans and is working towards sharing how he em, while keeping the restoration of constitutionalism at the heart of his agenda. My plan for Kileleshwa Ward resonates with this.

Leadership is not just about what you promise. It is about what you plan to do, how you will do it, and how Kenyans can hold you accountable.

KILELESHWA DESERVES MEANINGFUL REPRESENTATION

The MCA’s seat is too important to be taken lightly. It demands someone who understands the responsibility to legislate, champion residents’ interests, and hold the Governor and County Government accountable through effective I am running for MCA in 2027; to champion the interests of Kileleshwa residents and help deliver the representation the ward deserves.

SAVE KILELESHWA’S GREEN SPACES. SECURE OUR FUTURE.

Kileleshwa must protect the little green spaces we have left and create new ones for future generations. Having lived in this neighbourhood for over 20 years, I understand what is at stake. I will do everything within my power spaces, preserve our neighbourhood’s character, and ensure that development does not come at the expense of our environment.

Kileleshwa deserves development that leaves room for nature.

CHANGE DOESN’T HAPPEN BY WATCHING FROM THE SIDELINES.

Running for office is one way to fight for change. It creates an opportunity to influence policy, push for meaningful legislation, and turn the concerns of residents into action.

For me, this journey is driven by lived nderstanding of Kileleshwa’s challenges. That experience has inspired me to step into the ring and offer myself for election as MCA Kileleshwa Ward in 2027, with the aim of championing positive, lasting change for the community.
