This Budget increases the higher income tax threshold to €46,500, while also helping cut the cost of everyday life, childcare and energy.

The Irish Budget 2027 will result in household disposable incomes rising most for those that need it most. Those on lowest incomes will benefit to a proportionally greater extent. It's a progressive budget that will reduce income inequality and that's worth acknowledging. 🇮🇪👍

A valuable meeting with the Irish delegation that have the EU Presidency for this 6 month term in the framework of the Strategic Agenda for EU Enlargement.

Together with @barrymward Chair of the Oireachtas Joint Committee on European Union Affairs, and @IrlEmbAthens Ciara Albania’s European perspective and the need to accelerate its EU integration process.

We share the conviction that Albania should move faster towards the European Union. However, integration is not merely a matter of negotiations, technical benchmarks or deadlines. It requires a fundamental transformation in the way our state is built and governed.

Joining the European Union means governing according to European standards: strong and independent institutions, transparency, accountability, fair competition and respect for the rule of law.

Albania needs a faster pace of integration, but above all it needs genuine, sustainable reforms that improve the everyday lives of its citizens. Europe must be more than our political destination—it must become our daily standard of governance. 🇦🇱🇪🇺🇮🇪
