this week FASHN sponsored a fashion event in nyc for the first time! 🗽
it was organized by one of our clients, making "the oscars for fashion" to recognize artists and professionals in the industry.
they had a red carpet, then a fashion awards ceremony with winners like "best ditorial", etc.
all guests got our flyers in a gift bag, and it was cool to peek at them looking at it 😆
I think we were the only tech bros in the crowd lol. I heard only one team of artists out of a hundred mention using AI in their editorial shoots.
reminder, WE ARE SO EARLY!

in light of the "programming is dead" talk going on, I really recommend listening to this @dhh episode with @lexfridman.
here are my main takeaways, which left me motivated and extremely optimistic:
- it's ok to grieve the way we used to code. it's part of accepting the new time being pissed about it. put that energy into making the most of it
- writing code isn't the bottleneck anymore (!!). humans are, so communication and coming up with ideas are crucial
- one person can now build any app they always wished existed
- if you took a year off from coding now, you'd probably be able to catch up in two weeks (remember how we had to keep up with react component lifecycle?)
- don't try to predict model releases ahead, you'll drive yourself crazy. focus on what's possible right now
- coding by hand was actually painful while we were doing it! looking back, it feels like an accomplishment, and that's why we tend to romanticize it
dhh is very based and also an OG who's been programming for over 20 years, and despite that, he said the last few months were the most fun he's ever had with computers.
so if he can be this optimistic about the future, you should be too :)

Last night, @higgsfield sent @ComfyUI a cease and desist (attached)
They want the Open Source Higgsfield challenge taken down within 48 hours.
Their argument is that our use of the Higgsfield name and that using their CEO's likeness is an infringement violation (man, the t makes the event look like Higgsfield is associated with it.
This couldn't be farther from the truth, which is that Higgsfield made a promise to open source its product and never did.
For the past two weeks, builders have been recreating popular closed apps as open workflows anyone can run.
So we asked our community to deliver where Higgsfield failed: apps in the open, built by the community, for the community. We've made it clear that the challenge is organized by ComfyUI and not affiliated with or endorsed by Higgsfield.
When we started Comfy, we made the community a promise. Our product stays open, free, and yours. We’ve kept it every day since, and one letter isn’t going to change that.
The challenge stays up. Comfy and open source will win!

I keep saying people in paris are so nice
my name was barely hanging on my mailbox because I couldn't open the holder
today the delivery guy noticed, asked if it's mine, and fixed it with stickers from my parcel!
he didn't have to do this?? how do I cope with such kindness ❤️🩹

I don't know if I'll ever get over the magic of sending my agents on a mission while I peacefully make breakfast and call my mom

goodbye chat saas 👋
it took me ~2 days to build our own ticket support system to replace chat.
it's been live for just a day and users are already opening tickets!
our agent Fred replies first, and if he can't solve it, our team handles it in the backoffice :)

since X is a safe space I want to share a small tip that changed how I agentmaxx:
PIN CHATS
I used to struggle with running tasks in parallel and keep my focus. but once you organize chats into sections or pin them + rename, you will feel unstoppable

I am releasing my full documentary titled: Paris 3 Days Later... I dropped everything to go to Paris because it was clear from the footage that this is could be coming to America next.
I couldn't believe my eyes, just burned up upside down cars lying on the street. The crazier ople walk around it like it was nothing.
In the video you'll see interviews I did with an anarchist and a communist that justified the riots. You'll hear from a woman who feels unsafe going home after work every night. Most of all you'll actually see that the majority of the people in the city do not want their city to burn.
I will continue my reporting here and be at the next riot.
The best way to support my reporting is to subscribe on X.

Our @fashn_ai app will support the iPhone Duo from day one!
If you think this was a single Opus 5.5 prompt, you are completely wrong. It took multiple days of back-and-forth and more than 1 billion tokens.
Happy with how it turned out
