If App State utilized students to support athletics the same as JMU; our Athletic Budget would be $83.8 mil not $57.3 mil. If we followed Coastal’s model; we’d be just shy of $100 mil. So they can say they have to account for it differently, but still right in criticizing them.
Again, "student fees" has become a scary buzzword, but Virginia schools are simply required to be more transparent. Rhode Island, another public school A-10 program gets almost the exact same amount of institutional support as VCU, but no student fees. It's hidden in the tuition.
