2 years ago, we had the chance to meet Kimi while he was still racing in F2, and luckily, we got to spend some time with him too!
We showed him the sketch @floyidism had made and our app @BoxBox_Club And of course, we managed o (which is probably going to be worth millions now 😂).
I still remember that day. Even back then, we knew one thing: we weren’t just meeting a talented young driver; we were witnessing a future world champion in the making.
And to see how far he's come in just two years, all the way to becoming a world champion, makes that little memory even more special.
Couldn't be happier for him. So well deserved!
We met him as a young F2 driver, and now we get to call him a WORLD CHAMPION. How cool is that! ❤️🏆

I’m seeing so many posts saying that building and designing apps have become commodities, that we can blindly copy anyone’s ideas and designs, and that it’s all about marketing and distribution now.
Is this the new way of building apps? Are we really giving everyone the green light to copy anything and everything?

Looking back at v01, it's nice to see how much the plan screen has changed over time. We’ve made several improvements to walking time slots and sundial based on user feedback and new feature requirements.

Why this change now?
Currently, the Plan screen shows only two golden-hour walking slots each day: one in the morning and one in the evening. Recently, a user reached out because the morning slot overlapped with the time he drops his kid off at school. He wanted to know if there were other times during the day when the weather would still be suitable for a walk.
This made us realise that while golden hours are great for walking, they might not always fit into everyone's daily routines. Instead of limiting users to just these two windows, we wanted to help them find walking times that better fit their schedules.
So, in the next version, we're planning to introduce additional weather based walking slots alongside the golden hours on the Plan screen. We're also adding a dedicated details screen where users can explore all suitable walking times throughout the day and choose the ones that work best for them.

The single sim indicator looks clean and forms a complete circle, but the dual sim version feels cramped and overcrowded.
Shouldn’t the design accommodate both use cases equally well, rather than making the dual sim version feel like an afterthought?

When iOS 16 launched, they had lock-screen widgets ready on day one.
Mercedes asked fans to share Box widgets showed up in the screenshots, without the app’s name on them.
People asked what the widget was. Other fans answered.
The founders say they saw around 250,000 downloads in the week after that tweet.
that’s the part worth studying.
A race countdown is useful. A lock screen that shows who you support gives people a reason to share it.
For a visual app, “would someone show this to a friend?” feels like a pretty good design question.

It's so hard to understand the specifications for this asset. It looks good on an iPhone, but when viewed on other devices, it looks completely different, even after following Apple's guidelines.
