The NFL denied my credential.
American Airlines put me in purgatory.
God Did Not Want Me to Go to Brazil.

Wide Left sent me anyway.

I got one hell of a story out of it:

Chris Lawson body control again good lord
HUSKIES HALFTIME:
- special teams! pretty good!
- Chris Lawson has insane body control
- great game from Karnley so far
- Brown looks uncomfortable, accuracy way lower than before
- RIP run game
- not as many Demond package plays as I thought
- good job by D to keep them in it

perhaps the worst possible time to run a rollout to the short side
that Derek Colman-Brusa sack ends up saving Washington three points as Kyle Cunanan pushes it *just* wide right to keep it 7-3, Huskies have a chance to steal this one if the offense can do literally anything

looks like the Washington player down is Kolt Dieterich. Landen Hatchett already out, so Huskies will be down to the third-string center (Geirean Hatchett) if Dieterich is out. fourth-string center Jake Flores is also out tonight, FWIW

5 IR return slots left for:
Derwin
Alec Ingold
Trey Lance
David Njoku
Trevor Penning
Denzel Perryman
Trey Pipkins
Rashawn Slater
+ whoever else gets hurt in the next few weeks

so basically I think the hope is that Ingold, Penning, Lance have been banished
we’ve placed S Derwin James Jr on reserve/injured + other roster moves ahead of tomorrow’s game

Two hours before Lincoln took the field at the Linc, Philly Mayor Cherelle L. Parker spoke with me in the northeast end zone tunnel, trying to put into words what bringing her alma mater here meant.

“If we do it right, I’ll be dead. But Philly will still have a HBCU Classic.”

appreciate Noah for getting a wider variety of players on the record for this. Brunskill and Browning's perspectives as guys who have seen it before was particularly interesting. I think there's definitely a learning curve to the offense but it needs to tilt upwards quickly atp
An all-hands Monday meeting commenced for an offense that forgot what good football looked like. Mike McDaniel grabbed an August tape to jog the memory, and the Chargers watched their joint practice with the 49ers for over an hour.

former Washington DT Anterio Thompson is medically retired from football
Anterio Thompson, the Falcons 6th round pick in 2026, reveals on IG that on “May 8th, 2026 I was told I would never play football again due to a genetic mutation in my spinal cord that I had no idea about.”

The Falcons placed him on the NFI list during the offseason. Prayers for him. 🙏🏼

let's start here: 2017-26 makes no sense because the super bowl for the 2026 season has not been played yet. then you count *teams* that won the super bowl, not trades, which means you're dividing 4 *teams* (it's actually 6 trades) by 56 *trades*, which is nonsensical
@acosta32_jp I don’t get what people aren’t getting here. There were 56 trades for players using first and second round picks in 10 years. It worked a few times and didnt work for the overwhelming amount of teams that tried it.

4 SB teams (17 PHI, 18 NE, 20 TB, 23 KC) won without a player acquired for a R1 or R2 pick on the roster. let's assume for simplicity that the 51 teams who made such trades are unique, which leaves 237 teams who did not ((32*9)-51). so 6/51 to 4/237, which is a 7x increase!!!!!!!

correction, to be charitable: there's only 9 super bowls so it's **5**/51 (6 trades resulting in 5 super bowls) to 4/237, which is still a 5.81x increase!!!!!
