For centuries, type punchcutting and engraving have been closely related, and often intertwined. Today, the hed our new vector pattern-making and halftoning app Vexy Lines on Product Hunt.

OpenAI reportedly put rules into the ChatGPT system prompt that prohibits the GPT 5.5 model from talking about “goblins” unless it’s absolutely necessary. I can clearly see why the SVG-to-monochrome PNG one-liner would constitute an exception.

@Apple Why is it so incredibly hard to SELECT ALL text on an iPhone? Why is it even harder to COPY CONTENT (Text, Markdown, whatever) from any app on iPhone? Why is the Share menu always full of useless actions but doesn't contain useful things like copy text/content?

Why does trying to copy 20 pages of text from any app (like Google Docs or Word or even notes) into clipboard usually end in a crash? This worked in MS Word 2.0 for Windows in 1991, 34 years ago, but doesn't work on iPhone?

Instead of adding five 700-gigapixel cameras, try fixing a basic workflow where I can copy tht results from ChatGPT, from Gemini and from Perplexity into one note, select it and copy as Markdown and paste into Claude. Stuff that people actually do (but I guess not on iPhone)

The reason why Peter Sellers worked as Clouseau, while Roberto Benigni or Steve Martin didn’t, was because Sellers played Clouseau as a tragic character, the same way Atkinson plays Mr Bean and Cleese played Fawlty. Bean, Fawlty, Sellers’ Clouseau are our guilty pleasures: ……

……we dislike the buffoonery of these men to the point that we allow ourselves to laugh AT them, while they genuinely struggle and suffer through life. Atkinson’s, Cleese’s and Sellers’ struggle and suffering is real, visceral, tragic. But they’re assholes. They deserve it……

……So we laugh at them cathartically.

Roberto Benigni wasn’t funny as Jacques Jr., because he was annoying but still likeable. Steve Martin wasn’t funny as Clouseau because Steve Martin is fake. He plays it safe.

Just released version 1.0.1 of my new #WordPress privacy plugin. This version strips out data sent to WP.org for plugins that are hosted off-site. Currently wp.org receives information about every plugin on your system, including "private" and point, I'm only looking for devs to install this and help flush it out. But if you don't mind doing some testing, I'd appreciate it. I'm going to keep adding some privacy options over the next few days to limit that amount of data leakage that seems to be happening with a default install.

You can find the plugin here if you want to test it out:
