LLMs got smart by reading the internet. You and I could read every golf book, watch every YouTube swing breakdown, memorize Rory's takeaway frame by frame. Still, we'd be shanking it into the trees on the first tee.

Turns out reading about something and actually doing it are You have to hit the balls. Play the rounds. Miss the putts. Repeat. 🏌️

That's reinforcement learning, and it's how AI is going from "answers your questions" to "actually does the work." Pre-training built the foundation. RL is what teaches models to play the round.

So put another way, @McIlroyRory basically RL'd his way to a 2nd green jacket this weekend at the Masters 🏆
