At the beginning of the year @Jhackgolf was at Q-school….for the India Pro Tour. Now he's 4 good rounds from his DP card.
He talks with @markbaldwin1 about the journey. An awesome 30 mins. Give it a listen.

I feel bad for everyone. The Tour imo should have moved it when the redone greens were behind months ago, or should move from Florida during this season. That being said, obv they don’t want this and hoped things would get better.
And obv feel terrible for the players. At everyone hopes conditions play no role in who gets thru.

Andrew Novak might be one of the best examples that for most pro golfers, success is a process.
2017: Made 5/11 cuts on Canadian Tour
2018: Just 5 of 15 cuts on KFT, lost his card, got it back thru Q-school
2019: 14/25 on KFT finished 62nd in points
2020/21: First KFT Win, 16th in points, earned Pga tour card
2022: 12/26 cuts on PGA Tour- Zero Top 10s
2023: 19/30 cuts on Tour, two top-tens, 105th in points
2024: 19/26 cuts, five top-tens, 86th in points
2025: Win with Griffin at the Zurich, four total top-5s. T25 in points.
2026: His first individual win.
He's literally improved every single year he has been a pro.

Top 25 for Monday Q Cameron Tankersley in just his second ever Pga Tour event. Impressive stuff.
(also this is a great example of why eliminating Monday Qs for almost all Challenger Series events make no sense. Why wouldn't that Tour want a very talented young guy making a r will need stories!!)

With 12 holes left in 2nd stage of DP Tour Q-school Dean Greyserman (Max’s brother) was EIGHT strokes off the number. Eight.
He birdied 9 of the last 12 to get thru. Absolutely ridiculous.

Halloween Hot Take:
Ring cameras have prevented kids from holding people accountable for handing out shitty stuff for Halloween.
One house handed out only toothbrushes here today.
They deserve to be egged/toilet papered. They wouldn't make that mistake again. With cameras they just do what they want, knowing there are no consequences.

Great stuff here from @Randall2001H and the boys 👊🏻👊🏻
A player on the bubble on at Q-school going bogey-free in the final round is rare. A entire group on the bubble going bogey-free? Almost unheard of.
But it happened. We wrote about that along with some other great stories from each site.

Day 4 at Southern Pines went ok. I didn’t play my best but managed to shoot a 91 on the last day of the trip.

Week total is $30 but I’m going to double it to $60. Had a blast my first time in NC and would love to go back.

Very much appreciate the Tour giving me credit. And good on them for jumping on gh story and following him making the cut.
"It starts to bubble up when you've got a livelihood and a wife and a family to care for."
FedExCup No. 195 Nick Hardy made birdie on his final hole Friday at the VidantaWorld Mexico Open to make the cut on the number in what could be his last start of the season, in a ep his PGA Tour card across the second half of the FedExCup Fall.
This marked Hardy's 15th start of the 2026 PGA Tour season. Being his fifth season with at least 15 starts, it allows him to vest in the Tour's retirement plan, a massive relief for Hardy and his family in a profession that breeds uncertainty.
Hardy feels lighter this week and will have two more days to enjoy it.

I keep my hockey takes mostly to myself. But a guy from Michigan, making 9 million a year, and quitting on them is something.
I hope the Wings never trade him and he spends the rest of his contract on his couch watching TSN hoping they will announce his trade.

Statement from Pat Brisson, agent for Dylan Larkin, regarding his client deciding not to play while awaiting a trade:
“Dylan’s had enough of the situation. We believe he’s been very professional and cooperative through this process.”

If you don't know the context. 🔽
Absolutely insane set of circumstances at the Mexico Open:
Nick Hardy made about half a million dollars today. (Stick with me)
Hardy got into the field today as the 3rd alternate. The first two alternates weren't on site, so when Taylor Moore WD'd with an injury, Nick was in.
Last night, some players encouraged Hardy to make the trip, knowing the first two alternates weren't there. Nick immediately found a flight and arrived in Mexico early yesterday afternoon.
Hardy has struggled the last few years and only has past champion status. This season he had made 14 starts, made 4 cuts and is 193rd in points.
So how did getting into today's field potentially earn him roughly half a million dollars?
It was his 15th start of the season, which counts as a full season under the PGA Tour's retirement plan.
And here's the important part: It was his FIFTH qualifying season.
That means Hardy has now reached the vesting requirement for the cuts-made portion of the Tour's retirement plan.
Under that plan, players accumulate retirement credits for cuts made throughout their careers. Based on Hardy's 67 career cuts and the plan's historical payout structure, the amount could be worth roughly $400,000 or more.
Barring a Monday Q in one of the final few events, Hardy would have fallen one start short. And with his recent struggles, there was no guarantee he'd get 15 starts again next season.
Man, he had to be ecstatic when that phone rang today letting him know he was in the field.

For the hundreds of people who donated money to Andre Chi a few years ago….today he shot a final round 64 at the first stage of Q-school to easily advance.
You amazing people raised $50,000 for him and are a big reason he is still chasing his dream. Pretty awesome.
