anthropic now has claude write a safety report on every conversation it has. the reason field can paraphrase what you typed and gets stored like your prompts
only zero data retention traffic skips it. which you still cant verify.
All data used by agents gets mined by labs.

binance says no wallet keys leaked. didnt need to, one devops laptop could reach a container that submits withdrawals. $6.3b out the door
your coins on an exchange are exactly as safe as the worst laptop with prod access
your coins on an exchange are exactly as safe as the worst laptop with prod access
Binance's initial investigation suggests that the security incident may involve a compromised DevOps engineer’s laptop, which allowed an attacker to gain access to a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions. We have found no evidence of any wallet private a detailed technical post-mortem once the investigation is complete and the facts are fully verified.
The estimated total impact sits at around $6.3B. We have worked with blockchain partners to freeze affected assets, with ~$3 billion frozen on-chain so far.
Binance will cover all losses from the SAFU fund and the company’s funds. User funds are safe. We will also publish an updated Proof of Reserves once the remediation is complete.
As an immediate precaution, Binance has:
- temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals while security checks are completed;
- revoked the affected address authorisation;
- engaged law enforcement and blockchain intelligence partners to trace and recover funds.
Our teams are working around the clock to resolve this issue safely and thoroughly. We are working closely with our law enforcement partners to confirm the identity of these criminals and bring them to justice.
Please rely only on official Binance channels for updates. Please feel free to contact Binance Customer Support if you have any further questions.

ofcom wants every adult in the uk to show id to use social media
discord already leaked 70k id photos from its age checks last year. this just builds a bigger pile for the next one

🚨BREAKING: All Britons may need ID to use social media, the UK's online safety regulator today announces
“This plan for a government ‘social media ban’ is a national ID system by the back door.
Both the government and Ofcom have admitted that children will get around the ban, fect will be normalising adults and children alike to hand over their passports just to get online.
Hundreds of thousands of people without ID, who tend to be poorer people, and many more who don’t want to risk handing their passports over to foreign tech companies will be locked out of huge parts of the internet.
The plan will kill anonymity online, whilst the UK’s culture of speech policing is reaching a crisis point. The policy is painfully misguided, an Orwellian assault on free speech and privacy, and will make children no safer at all.
The false illusion that children aren’t on social media will cause the companies to abandon all their child safety measures. The Government could be promoting meaningful safety measures and supporting parental controls that genuinely protect children - instead, they’re demanding government ID from the whole population just for uncensored internet access. It is authoritarian madness.”

Artificial Analysis finally moves to closed benchmarks (goodbye GDPval-AA), and finds that open weights models are falling further behind than they had previously measured. Take with a grain of salt, but matches the general vibes that we haven't seen a Fable-class open model.

On October 27, 2026, at 12:00 PM JST, the attackers published a new statement, claiming that the company had refused to negotiate or comply with their $1 million ransom demand.
According to the statement, the attackers have decided to begin publicly releasing the allegedly stolen personal information, as previously threatened.
The group announced that:
Daily data releases: Stolen personal information will allegedly be published every day at 12:00 PM JST, as the attackers complete their analysis of the data.
Prolonged disclosure: Due to the reportedly massive volume of information, the attackers claim that releasing the entire dataset could take several years.
Targeted exposure: The information will allegedly be made publicly available online and shared with individuals connected to the affected victims.
First alleged victim: The attackers have already published a page identifying what they describe as their first victim.
Extortion demand: The group reiterated that it would immediately and permanently cease its activities if GMO agreed to pay the requested $1 million.
The attackers accuse GMO of refusing their demands and attempting to avoid responsibility for the incident.
Note: These statements are based exclusively on the attackers' latest publication. The authenticity and extent of the allegedly stolen data have not been independently verified.
