American journalist @loffredojeremy was detained and interrogated by the Israeli military over the course of 15 days in October 2024. A trove of emails obtained via FOIA request reveal the Biden administration was well-aware of the situation, referring to Loffredo as being "taken rael', yet did nothing to help.
"Despite interest from the highest levels of the U.S. government, the emails contain no discussion of whether or not the charges against me were valid or bogus, the extreme conditions of my incarceration, or any talk of pressuring or using diplomatic leverage in order to expedite my release, even as dozens of Americans began calling the State Department to demand information and action."
