BetterDiscord v1.14 is finally here!
This update comes with a rework of the injector that allows BD to survive through all of Discord's updates on Windows and Linux, and survive most on macOS.
There's tons of performance improvements and more in this update too, take a look!

I've been working on a new project and I could use some early testers and feedback.
If you are on Windows and use a terminal, please give zincterminal.dev a shot!

@localhost_5173 I would say zincterminal.dev looks good while being WinUI 3 native

We've decided to sunset Arc on December 22, 2026.
That's not an easy sentence to write. We spent years building Arc and celebrating each and every release along the way: we have so much pride and love for what we made alongside the Arc community.
Our priority is to deliver best-in-class security for our members. Keeping a browser secure takes constant, dedicated work that is only increasing in the age of AI. Dia was built from the ground up to meet today’s security standards, so that's where our engineering and security teams will focus moving forward.
We've worked to make switching to @diabrowser as easy as possible for Arc members. Here's how:
· Your passwords, bookmarks, extensions and history come over to Dia seamlessly.
· Spaces, Folders, and Tab Groups are in Dia and import over with your data intact.
· Dia now surpasses Arc benchmarks in stability, speed, and security.
· The browser features you use in Arc are free in Dia, and the AI is optional.
Thank you for using Arc, for pushing us to make it better, and for building alongside us. The team that made Arc is the same team behind Dia, and some of our most ambitious work is just ahead. We'd love for you to be there with us when it lands.

If you are looking for a Raycast-compatible launcher I recommend checking Vicinae, I have been developing it for years and it's also available on Linux, Windows and macOS!

I used Reverse Engineer Anything to re-create raycast on @omarchy. And I was blown away! In just a couple hours I have a fully-functioning raycast-like launcher! Right now it:
* Learns your habits
* Apps + every Omarchy action in one search
* Aliases & favorites
* Keyboard-first
* Foe live, opens in ~40ms

RIP Orion for Linux and Windows.
The development of Orion for Linux and Windows is ending, but this doesn’t have to be the end of the story. We will open-source both versions so the community can carry the torch from now on.
We are truly grateful for the support the community has shown. Thank you for believing in an independent browser, you helped us build something really valuable 🙏

I've published a new, general-purpose terminal specification that gives any program a way to tell the terminal what it's doing: idle, working, waiting, finished, or failed, and why. It is easy to implement on both sides. I've written more about why: mitchellh.com/writing/progra…
The problem this solves is generic and applies in compelling ways to all sorts of use cases (e.g. package managers, build tools), but it really rears a hideous head when it comes to AI and the "agentic inbox" problem.
I found over 250 different agent orchestrators (with various goals) that all individually implement a heuristic based approach to detecting whether things like Claude Code are working, blocked, done, etc.
If you look at @herdrdev's commit history, you can see around 10 compatibility changes to detect Claude Code within just the past 3 months. (This isn't a dig at Herdr! They're doing great work with what they have, and everyone else is doing the same thing).
Heuristics are not the way. And over-indexing on agentic use cases isn't the way, because this problem is really interesting for other tools too: Homebrew, Terraform, Cargo, etc. etc.
Proprietary protocols and out of band APIs are not the way. They have an O(N) integration problem and require extra work to work over SSH or within local VMs/containers.
The program status specification (OSC 7501) solves this in a reliable, deterministic way that is general-purpose and can be easily adopted by the entire industry.

Linux and Windows are over before they really started for @OrionBrowser. At this point, I'll probably stop using it on macOS too.

Don't usually ask for much around the Streamer Awards but if you haven't nominated yet, please take the time to consider "24 Hour Tag" for Best Streamed Event.
This was such a labor of love from so so many talented people that deserve all the praise possible.

I received early access to this and it's genuinely a game changer! A lot of people have been building custom setups like this with one supervising agent that kicks off separate sessions, but the integration as threads here is so clean. Awesome for quickly exploring options.
Today we're rolling out Projects in Claude Code on desktop and web.
A project is one conversation with Claude. It splits the work into threads itself, runs them as parallel cloud sessions, passes context between them, and keeps going when you leave.
In beta for select users.

.@TeamYouTube you guys need to fix this.
A CHILD is abusing the copyright system to hide coverage of how Rainbet promoted gambling to minors.
He did it by changing the titles/thumbnails of old videos, making the abuse so blatant it's impressive y'all are this incompetent.

@TeamYouTube DENIED my Counter Notification of A LITERAL CHILD Copyright Striking my Thumbnail. Here's His channel Where he has ripped not just my thumbnail, but another creator(@tommynfg_) as well and put them on 9 month old videos.
A literal child is able to threaten my er was denied because I was "unclear". This is a simple visual check that would take less than a minute.
