Interested in information processing dynamics in the brain? How about that weird grey area between structure and function - the algorithmic? Check out our preprint where we examine primitive information processing in control and pathological states. bit.ly/3jNYCz9 (1/6)

Hi ! I don't post on here often, but our newest preprint is out. The idea was closed loop ephys with in vitro cultures, but rather than using them as compute we wanted to see if we could train them to behave differently. It worked !
Paper, code, and thoughts below.

Wouldn't be possible without the excellent work of @mxwbio (10/10 company by the way).
Thanks to AFOSR and DARPA, who were funders during various parts of the project.

Ever wonder if eventually cells could be trained out of disease states? We're on the path; first steps:
New #preprint - @WesleyPClawson
"Goal directed closed-loop training of network bursts in cortical cultures produces improved performance and error correction over days"

1/ New preprint!
Neuroscience uses advanced methods to study brain regions/neurons/genes (order 1), couples of them (order 2), triplets (order 3), etc. But haven't we lacked a clear conceptual map to organize these diverse methods and integrate findings?
