We joined forces with the @figma team and cooked up something huge.

Figma Connect is now available for WebStorm! Your AI agent generates better code when it knows what the design requires. Figma Connect takes that context (component hierarchy, spacing, design variables, etc.) a file and passes it to the AI chat.

This is the first stage of a visual design-to-code workflow. There’s more to come. Check it out and share your feedback: jetbrains.blog/43zagi

@WebStormIDE @figma Figma Connect in WebStorm IDE has been a game-changer for me! The beta worked flawlessly, saving tons of time on complex screens and components. It even helped with addressing the review feedback for work done without it. Big thanks!

@WebStormIDE @figma would be cooler if I could use my existing Claude, Codex or Cursor subscription for this

@juandadotdev @figma Hi! We're cool like that: you can easily bring your own agent (Claude, Codex, Cursor, whatever you already use), no JetBrains AI subscription needed. More info here: jetbrains.com/help/webstorm/…

@WebStormIDE @figma Its probably cool but I still can't use my claude code subscription with Webstorm, which makes it insanely expensive to use certain models. The 10$ Credits from my All Product Pack are gone in minutes by using a front tier model - currently not sustainable for me.
