I think comments may be one of the LLM era's biggest code smells
90% of them add no new info and restate what the code already clearly says. They bloat context and add a secondary source of truth you have to update
Instead I ask the LLM why it thinks the comment is necessary, and have it restructure and rename the code so whatever it said lacked clarity is immediately obvious

@WarrenInTheBuff I make a big deal about this in my instruction files. "Instead of writing comments, write the code so that it reads as a plain English description of what it does."
The more your preferences are encoded in the instructions, the less back and forth is needed after every edit.
