Y’all, this is the union difference.
Young working-class men in unions are more likely to own a home, get married, and have kids.
A union isn’t just about what happens at work. It’s about having the power to build the life you want.

Great to be with members of the Northern Virginia Labor Federation this morning. Virginia’s working families are the backbone of our economy, and we need to make sure every worker has a fair shot at building a better future.

On September 11, 2001, hundreds of Teamsters in New York City answered our nation's call to service. Our members in the construction trades immediately got to work cleaning up Ground Zero — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 9 months. After the debris was cleared, Teamsters stayed rebuilding the World Trade Center.
Today we honor our Local 282 members who have suffered serious illness linked to their exposure at the site for their courage, patriotism, and lasting contribution they made to rebuild New York City after one of our nation’s darkest hours.

Cut worker protections. Gut collective bargaining. Weaken overtime. Go after unions standing with immigrant communities.
This administration has shown us exactly where it stands.
Our answer is the same as it’s always been: solidarity. We stand, organize, and fight back together.

Shit's too expensive, paychecks are flat, and this administration threw themselves a party and pat themselves on the back.
This November, we're going to send them a message loud and clear: Your time is up. Working people built this country. It's time to take it back.

71% of Americans approve of unions. More than 50 million nonunion workers would join one if they could.
Workers are telling us what they want.

Happy Labor Day! Let’s celebrate by electing leaders this November who will stand with working people, NOT billionaires and CEOs.
Labor Day exists because workers organized, stood together and fought for better. Every right we have on the job was won by working people who refused to settle for less. We honor them by carrying that fight forward.

Labor Day is about us. The people who build Virginia. Teach Virginia. Care for Virginia. Protect Virginia. Keep Virginia running.
Every right working people have won was fought for, not given. And the fight continues. Worker power isn't given. It's built. Happy Labor Day. ✊ #1u

Rest in power, Gloria Steinem, a lifelong advocate for working women who dedicated her life to fighting for women’s equality, equal pay and respect on the job. We’re grateful for her lifetime of courage, leadership and commitment to making the world better for women everywhere.

Shit’s too expensive. Wages aren’t keeping up with the cost of living. Working people are living on the edge while the rich get even richer.
Working people don’t trust political parties to fix this mess — they trust the labor movement to fight for them.

94% of workers say that shit is too expensive. 4 out of 5 people say their paychecks aren’t keeping up with costs.
ALL of this is happening in a country where CEOs are making 312x what working people are.
This economy isn’t working for working people.

The state of our unions? Working people are pissed off. But we’re motivated, mobilized and ready to fight and take back our country for working people.
No billionaire or anti-worker politician can match the power of our solidarity. And this November, our voices will be heard.
