VIVIÓ MIL VIDAS en una de 44 años.
Surfeó entre las olas hasta no hace mucho, estuvo en cada uno de nuestros hogares en el 2020 para decirnos con su voz ronca que nos quedáramos tranquilos.
Nos vigiló como un hermano mayor para que lograramos salir adelante.
Fue tapabocas y ños sonreía entre tanta preocupación.
Fue Superhéroe y ciencia.
Formó una familia disfrutó de la semilla de una hija, y la abrazaba como el que sabe que las horas pasan.
Luchó.
Fue León y combatió contra la muerte que es grela.
Un país lo despide sabiendo que nos dió mas de lo que le dimos.
Generoso se fué sin ningún reproche.
Hoy la ciencia pierde un soldado y nosotros con Gonzalo... una guerra.

Proud of the bright PhD students and research scientists working in my team. Both programs started as ideas ago, and are now edging towards therapeutic development.

Thank you to Mnemonic Brew and Craft on Stanley for holding a Halloween Party, and letting our building's WhatsApp group meet up in costume.
There were great signature cocktails made with Halloween twists. It really is a perfect place for groups of 10-20 to gather and spread stand sit or dance.

Here is Myrielle Dupont-Rouzeyrol from Institut Pasteur de Nouvelle-Calédonie one of our collaborators in the Pasteur Network.
Myrielle received a CDA short term expert visitor award from the Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA) to come to Singapore and exchange her expertise in ology and mosquito control with numerous institutions here. She has presented her work and had scientific meetings with A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs (where she holds an adjunct position), NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NTU LKCMedicine, Duke-NUS Medical School, National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID), National Environment Agency (NEA-EHI).
A busy program where we tried to have her meet as many potential future collaborators as we try to increase the scientific and educational exchanges between New Caledonia and Singapore, now that there is a direct flight linking the two.
Reach out if you'd like to squeeze in a last chance meeting and thank you Communicable Diseases Agency for this excellent funding scheme that allowed us to bring her over!
