🚨 THIS is the type of opportunity VeVe should be ALL OVER.
Marvel just announced its new Marvel Comics app powered by WEBTOON, with a major focus on comic DISCOVERY.
And IMO, this perfectly illustrates what I’ve been saying:
VeVe doesn’t have an IP problem.
Marvel. Disney. is already there.
VeVe has a DISCOVERABILITY problem.
So imagine this 👇
A new Marvel comic drops Wednesday.
📱 You discover it in Marvel’s new app
⭕️ “BUY DAY ONE ON VEVE”
📚 Your VeVe purchase is integrated into your Marvel/WEBTOON library
🔥 You can read it there AND own/collect the digital edition through VeVe
Now flip it around.
Someone browsing Marvel’s app who has NEVER heard of VeVe suddenly has a reason to create an account.
Marvel → VeVe.
And someone discovering a comic through VeVe gets pulled deeper into Marvel’s reading ecosystem.
VeVe → Marvel.
That’s a REAL ecosystem.
The biggest opportunity for VeVe isn’t constantly asking:
“How do we convince people to come find us?”
It’s putting VeVe directly inside the places where MILLIONS of fans are already discovering the IP VeVe sells.
Marvel is literally building a new digital front door for comics.
VeVe should be trying to put a checkout lane inside it. ⭕️📚🔥

One thing you gotta give VeVe credit for is that these types of thing can never happen on its platform
Yesterday I lost 300K+ worth of NFTs in the Magic Eden exploit.
I genuinely don’t know how to process this. Years of collecting, money, and memories wiped out in a matter of moments.
I’m asking the community: if you can help, please do. Whether that’s sharing this, connecting me with someone who can help investigate/recover the assets, or donating to help me get back on my feet — anything means more than you know.
I never thought I’d have to ask for help like this. Please RT. 🙏

Another victim of bad drop mechanics.
So sad, tbh 😢
101 out of 2,987 editions sold. Just $2,020 in gross sales, less than a month’s pay for a minimum-wage McDonald’s worker.
In a logical world, insisting on bad drop mechanics would be considered insane. But to VeVe enablers, ld work.
And I’m the bad guy for suggesting this TMNT drop should have included variants, rarities and chases.
Meanwhile, Disney Pinnacle, a platform with a fraction of VeVe’s users, made $30,000 yesterday from a single price tier. Factor in the other tiers, and the collection brought in well over $50,000. That’s the power of good drop mechanics.
VeVe calls itself a premium digital collectibles platform. It should be meeting the needs of real collectors. If it keeps waiting for future users while current collectors feel ignored, I’m afraid VeVe may not survive long enough to see that future.
A $2,020 result for a major IP like TMNT is beyond embarrassing. Licensors will take one look at those numbers and go elsewhere.
Today, collectors have spoken with their wallets. And VeVe needs to listen before it’s too late.
Something needs to change.
That change is called good drop mechanics.

For those who insist drop mechanics aren’t the issue, look at the monster you’ve created.
This independent artist invested his time, talent, energy, and resources into creating digital collectibles for VeVe. His reward? Just 18% of the supply sold, generating only $8,808 in revenue still has to be divided between VeVe and the artist.
Is an artist like this likely to return and create more collectibles just to walk away with a few thousand dollars? You already know the answer.
And what’s the primary culprit? Bad drop mechanics.
I genuinely cannot believe people still argue against something so fundamental to running successful drops. Customers continue speaking with their wallets, yet VeVe continues refusing to listen.
VeVe needs to do better. Pair these artists with consultants who understand drop mechanics, collector psychology, and what customers actually want.
And as if to rub salt in the wound, the upcoming TMNT blimp drop doubles down on the same failed formula. Paramount is licensing some of its most valuable brands to VeVe, only to receive what essentially amounts to pennies for a company of its size.
Licensors will not keep returning to a platform that gives them little financial incentive to do so.
If VeVe doesn’t correct course, the well will eventually run dry, and other licensors may follow DC and Warner Bros out the door.

🤦♂️
Some independent artists need drop mechanics advisors to help them sell more collectibles
They should hire @elmonx_official, since they’ve done a really good job with drop mechanics on VeVe in the past
