Zeichner played a central role in the UK’s decision to mandate the addition of folic Minister for Food Security under the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra), Zeichner introduced and signed off on the Bread and Flour (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2024.

Many shopkeepers are boarding up stores while larger chains have been higher private security.
The Louvre, Orsay and French capital will also be closed on Saturday as more demonstrations are expected.
In other parts of the country where protests have not been banned completely, only authorised union demonstrations will be allowed on Saturday, President Emmanuel Macron said after convening a Security meeting on the situation.
Some Protestors have said they will ignore the bans and they will continue.

Mummies have been removed from display at the Kelvingrove Museum in Glasgow because of a 'lack of consent from the deceased individual'.

‘The f Museums’ revised Code of Ethics, published in June 2026, states that museums “should uphold the inherent dignity of human remains and promote respect for their significance”.
‘The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Afrikan Reparations 2025 report, “Laying Ancestors to Rest”, also raises ethical concerns about the display of ancient Egyptian human remains due to the consistent disregard of the potential wishes of the ancestors and the intention of the communities that originally laid them to rest.
