300 Spartans vs 500 unsullied
This is actually a fascinating battle because both armies were trained from childhood to become some of the most disciplined soldiers in their respective worlds.
The Spartans were legendary warriors, raised to endure pain, master close combat, and phalanx formation made them incredibly dangerous, especially when defending narrow passages.
The Unsullied, on the other hand, were trained to suppress fear, obey commands without hesitation, and fight with extraordinary discipline. Their spear formations and battlefield coordination made them one of the most formidable infantry forces in Essos.
But hereโs where things get interesting: the Spartans had superior experience in traditional Greek heavy infantry warfare, while the Unsullied had a different kind of discipline, built around absolute obedience and coordinated spear combat.
The terrain, formations, weapons and leadership could decide everything.
Personally, I think this would be much closer than people expect.
300 Spartans. 500 Unsullied. One battlefield. No dragons, no cavalry, no reinforcements.

I'm 21 F and I have a crush on a guy 21 M that I've known through college for a couple of years. We started working together more closely over the past last year, and I gradually became interested in him. He's a little quiet and reserved (until you get to know him better) and someone I genuinely enjoy talking to.
We hung out one-on-one a few times in May, both of us inflating these and there were little moments that made me wonder if he was interested, too. He once mentioned wanting to go on a picnic but having nobody to go with, and I completely missed the potential opening and suggested a group thing. He graduated a moved a couple hours away so there wasnโt much contact for a couple months until I ended up in his city in September for a conference and suggested we hang out. During that hang out he said he had two tickets for a movie premiere in my city later that month and I said yes. We stopped by a restaurant before the premiere and I realized that pretty much every time weโve gotten food (only like 3 times) heโs paid.
A few weeks ago I suggested we meet in a city halfway (so like an hour drive) to hang out and he asked what was happening there, I told him that nothing was happening and I just wanted to hang. But then he said he could come to my city in that case and help with projects? Then changed his mind? (Idk this was really confusing and all within the span of 5 minutes on a phone call). I know he hates driving, he once asked me for a store suggestion and thought 15 minutes was too far a drive.
We used to work on lots of projects together and end up on zoom calls that him and I would stay on just chatting for like 30 minutes after everyone left, and over the past month weโve just started calling each other (both of us initiate) but most of the time it starts with a film related question (we work in film) and then branched off into an hour long convo about our plans for the future or current happenings in life. He recently texted asking me about going to see a live show in NYC (weโre about 5-7hrs away) which I said Iโd be down for, he said heโd email his connection back about VIP tickets.
Anyway, I finally decided to just say something tonight. We were on the phone having a genuinely nice conversation, and afterward I called him back probably like 20 minutes later and said, pretty casually, "You know I like you, right? Like, interested romantically." I followed it with "Yeah, I know it's random. I just don't like sitting on this shit," and then "Anyways, see you in two weeks." (We have a festival coming up).
He just said, "Yeah, see you in two weeks," kind of quietly and softly and I hung up. Probably a total of 10 seconds. And that's it. I ended the call quickly on purpose tbh. Don't really know what to make of it but I guess we'll find out eventually.

MY NEIGHBOR KEPT RECEIVING FLOWERS FROM A DEAD MAN
I'm 34, and I live in a quiet residential neighborhood outside Dallas, Texas. I've been living in the same apartment complex for almost four years, so I know most of the people around me.
But there's one neighbor I've never quite understood.
Her name is Rebecca. She's 42, divorced, and lives alone in apartment 3B.
Every Friday morning, a delivery driver brings a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers to her doorstep.
Always the same arrangement: white roses, pink tulips and a small handwritten envelope.
At first, I thought she had a secret admirer.
One morning, while collecting my own package, I joked with her.
"Someone must really love you."
She smiled.
"Someone did."
I thought she was talking about an ex-boyfriend.
Then she added something that made me uncomfortable.
"He died eleven years ago."
I didn't know what to say, so I simply wished her a good morning.
But the following Friday, something strange happened.
The delivery driver arrived as usual, but this time he handed me the flowers.
"Apartment 3B, right?"
I nodded.
He looked at the label.
"That's strange. The sender requested that these be delivered personally to Rebecca."
I took them upstairs.
When Rebecca opened the door, she looked surprised.
"Did he leave another envelope?"
I handed her the bouquet.
She immediately searched between the flowers until she found a small white card.
Her hands started shaking.
I asked if everything was okay.
She invited me inside.
For the first time, she explained the story.
Eleven years earlier, Rebecca had been engaged to a man named Michael. They had met in college and planned to get married the following summer.
But Michael died unexpectedly in a highway accident three months before their wedding.
Before his death, he had arranged a flower subscription for her birthday, their anniversary and every Friday for the first year after their wedding.
The florist had apparently continued sending the arrangements because the subscription was never cancelled.
Except there was one problem.
The original subscription had ended years ago.
Someone had been paying for the flowers all this time.
Rebecca had no idea who.
That afternoon, I helped her examine the latest envelope.
There was no romantic message.
Just one sentence:
"You deserve to know what Michael did before he died."
And a telephone number.
Rebecca called it.
A woman answered.
Her name was Patricia.
She introduced herself as Michael's older sister.
Rebecca hadn't spoken to her in almost ten years.
They arranged to meet at a coffee shop the following Sunday.
I wasn't there, but Rebecca told me everything afterwards.
Patricia explained that Michael had discovered something about his health shortly before the accident.
He had been diagnosed with a serious heart condition.
He hadn't told Rebecca because he was waiting for further medical results and didn't want to frighten her unnecessarily.
He had also begun arranging financial support for her in case something happened to him.
The flowers were only a small part of that arrangement.
Patricia had continued paying for them because she knew how much they meant to Rebecca.
But she had finally decided to contact her because she had found something among Michael's belongings.
It was a letter addressed to Rebecca.
In it, Michael had written about their plans, the house they wanted to buy and the children they hoped to have.
At the end, he had written:
"If you're reading this, I hope you didn't spend your life waiting for me. I wanted to grow old with you, but more than anything, I wanted you to be happy."
Rebecca cried when she finished reading it.
For years, she had believed Michael's family had simply disappeared after his death.
She hadn't known his sister was quietly keeping a promise to her brother.
A month later, Rebecca invited Patricia to dinner.

THE TRANSFER THAT TURNED INTO A VERY DANGEROUS NIGHT ๐ฆ๐บ
PART II โ TWO MEN, ONE UNEXPECTED EVENING
At 6:03 p.m., Richard's message appeared on my phone.
Richard: Are you still in the building? I'd like us to discuss something over dinner. Somewhere outside the office.
I stared at the message for a moment.
Before I could respond, Daniel appeared behind my chair.
"Who are you smiling at?"
"Nobody."
He leaned closer, trying to catch a glimpse of my screen.
"Come on. Let me guess. Someone has already discovered that our new American colleague is trouble."
"You're unbelievable, Daniel."
He laughed.
"Give me one chance to prove you right."
Eventually, I agreed to have a drink with him at a rooftop bar in Southbank. I told myself it was harmless. Just two colleagues getting acquainted.
At 7:20 p.m., we were seated beside the glass railing, overlooking the Melbourne skyline.
Daniel ordered wine for himself and sparkling water for me.
"So, tell me something," he said, leaning forward. "Why did you really leave Ohio?"
"Career growth. I wanted something different."
"And did you find what you were looking for?"
I smiled.
"I'm still deciding."
He held my gaze for a little longer than necessary.
Then my phone vibrated.
Richard.
I noticed you left. Are you having dinner with Daniel?
My stomach tightened.
I hadn't told him where I was going.
I replied:
Yes. We're just having a drink.
His response came almost immediately.
Interesting. I was hoping to spend some time with you myself.
I put my phone face down.
Daniel noticed.
"Everything okay?"
"Perfectly fine."
He reached across the table and gently touched my hand.
"Good. Because I'd hate to compete with whoever keeps making you look at that phone."
I laughed, but before I could answer, another notification appeared.
This time, it was a photograph.
Richard was standing outside the same rooftop bar.
And underneath it were five words:
I think I'll join you.
My smile disappeared.
Daniel looked towards the entrance.
"Wait... is that our boss?"
And suddenly, I understood that this evening wasn't going to end with just one drink.

Vision firing his Energy Beam at his own Hex Version.
It's crazy that White Vision not only kept FRIDAY, E.D.I.T.H., JARVIS, DUM-E, U, and Ultron in his Mindspace but also kept the Hex Version of himself in there. However, he never allowed the Hex Version to confront him or s until now. When he finally runs out of options, he lets the Hex Version appear but the first thing Hex Vision does is call it a PRISON instead of Mindspace.

Iโm 56, and Iโve spent most of my working life behind that bakery counter. I know which customers come in before work, which ones bring their children on Saturdays, and which pastries usually sell out first.
Last spring, a 32 year old woman bought the bakery from her uncle.
At first, I thought things would continue as usual. But within a month, she started making changes.
She switched to cheaper ingredients, reduced the number of staff working morning shifts, and started preparing fewer pastries each day.
Whenever I raised concerns, she told me we needed to control expenses if the business was going to remain profitable.
I understood that running a business wasnโt cheap, but I knew some of those decisions would affect our customers.
Before long, regular customers started complaining.
Some said the bread didnโt taste the same. Others complained that their favorite pastries were always sold out before lunchtime.
One Saturday, an elderly customer who had been coming to the bakery for years asked me why we had changed the recipe for her husbandโs favorite bread.
I honestly didnโt know what to tell her.
A few days later, I noticed something else. We were throwing away more unsold pastries than before, even though we were making fewer of them.
I decided to keep a record of what we prepared, what sold, and what ended up in the trash.
I did this for three weeks.
When I finally showed the owner my records, she looked at them and said, โAre you suggesting you understand this business better than I do?โ
I told her I wasnโt questioning her ability to run the bakery. I just wanted her to see what was happening.
She thanked me for the information but said she would handle it.
I thought that was the end of the conversation.
I was wrong.
