“We fled in fear. Fear that what was broken might not be salvaged. Millions whispered the same question: ‘What if the country never recovers?’”
My latest @BaptistLeaders—on 9/11, and how America processed her grief in the aftermath.
My latest @BaptistLeaders—on 9/11, and how America processed her grief in the aftermath.
With the rise of Islam in America and New York City electing a Muslim mayor, many thought that the commemoration of 9/11 felt different this year.
We said we would never forget. Did we? Or did we never grieve properly?

This is one of the most shameless acts of fraud and deception I’ve ever seen
The issue isn’t a “fundraiser.” It’s that Joel is lying to Christians about something he doesn’t know for certain (Samuel’s innocence) and taking funds under false pretenses
This is 100x worse than mean words and name calling (which I also denounce)

I just increased the fundraising goal for Samuel Sey's family. It's still unclear how long this process will take, and his wife and small children will need help making ends meet while he's unable to work.
Thank you, everyone, for your kindness! Please give what you can, and pray for our brother in Christ and his family. givesendgo.com/support-for-sa…

Why is @JoelWBerry endorsing an instigator of political violence?
James is now openly calling for the murder of his opponents
Why is this allowed on Twitter? Did we learn nothing after Charlie?

Dear American Christian: You, individually, are not "the church." You are *part* of the church, yes, most ideally a member of "a" church.
But you *are* a citizen.
I say this because Christians so easily get confused about what they should or should not be doing in politics, because they filter politics through "the church."
There are plenty of things that "THE church" or "a church" shouldn't be doing politically, isn't tasked by God to do, etc., that YOU should (even must) be doing as a faithful citizen.
The most basic of which is voting.

"Socrates argued that the greatest penalty for refusing to rule is to be ruled by someone worse. If we refuse to punish evil, evil will punish us.
Christian love does not tolerate evil; it opposes it. Sometimes the best way to love our enemies is to defeat them—starting at the ballot box."

Before he even knew how the immigration system worked in this country, @SlowToWrite was lecturing Americans on how to live.
It’s unseemly.
It’s unseemly.
The George Floyd video is horrific to watch.
It’s quite saddening that the other citizens in the video showed more care for his life than the police officers.
May God deliver #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd, and may he bring peace to Minneapolis.

Dusty’s last point is crucial.
If pastors do not lead their congregations through these issues courageously, their flock will look to secular men who will.
If pastors do not lead their congregations through these issues courageously, their flock will look to secular men who will.
Young men are being told that love of people, place, and inheritance is itself morally suspicious. God’s Word never told them to become men from nowhere so they could love their neighbor.
You were born into a house somebody else built. Your fathers arrived first, and so did the language, the churches, the laws, the wars, the sins, and the graves. You did not make this nation. You were handed a debt, not an entitlement.
Inheritance bestows obligations. You are a steward standing between your grandfather and your grandson, and both have a right to something from you. Conserve what your fathers did faithfully. Confess what they did wickedly. Repair what they ruined. Build what the next generation will need. Do it all for the Lordship of Christ.
God “made from one man every nation of mankind” and set the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek Him (Acts 17:26-27). Love your people. Keep your borders. Perform the stewardship Christ laid on you.
Pastors, give young men that vision before they take their questions somewhere poisonous.

I was born and raised in Michigan. I live and pastor in Michigan. I love Michigan and those who call this great state home.
We have a hotly contested Senate race right now. I want to share eight reasons why I, as a Christian pastor, cannot vote for Abdul El-Sayed (D-MI) to be the next U.S. Senator for the State of Michigan.
Thanks to @BaptistLeaders for publishing.

I love the Halloween I grew up with. It was always more of a fall festival with a tinge of spooky: pumpkins, a scarecrow here and there, that sort of thing.
These new overtly demonic, gaudy displays are pure 3rd world garbage.
If you are a Westerner who does this, shame on you.
Resist the ghettofication of our culture.

This is creeping third worldism and we should ban such displays.

Weird how a midterm loss would be a rebuke of all the “Woke right” things, but not a rebuke of the neoconservative wet dream of war with Iran and skyrocketing fuel prices.
Not sure I’m buying that narrative, nope.
Not sure I’m buying that narrative, nope.
If the Republicans do poorly in the midterms, given the catastrophe that is the Democrats with their socialism and open Communism and all the omg wtf, it's basically the biggest rebuke in the universe of this Woke Right sewage and Trump's (related) goofy-bad economic policy.

Since I’m already giving hot takes on Sunday: don’t raise your daughters to think they can emotionally manipulate men.
It’s no different than raising boys to believe rage is the way to get what they want.
Loving your children well means protecting them against their gender’s natural besetting sins.
Be a strong father, mirthful and endlessly loving, but not a puppet.

I love my daughters, they are a delight to my eyes and my dear girls.
And even with my littlest who can barely talk, I am teaching them emoting and crying are not arguments and will not really sway their dad.

The nations are God's idea. He "made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place" (Acts 17:26).
A civil servant who will not guard his own people's inheritance has failed his duty of office. And the denominational agencies that lived for decades on federal resettlement grants have no standing to lecture the rest of us about what the way of Jesus requires at the border.

I jumped out of planes in the Army without a second thought, but I don’t think you could pay me enough for this one chief.
Absolutely insane footage of Ukrainian soldiers travelling around gas pipelines near Kupyansn on mini mining trains where heavy fighting has been taking place for days underground.
