Folks -- I feel like it's very important I clear the air after the events of today. This is not a fun post for me to write, but I want to be fully transparent -- I owe all my amazing fellow TMNT fans that much.
A few weeks back, I was invited to participate in this X Space. I was told it would be an opportunity to communicate with many dedicated TMNT and comic fans and share my unique experiences behind the scenes as a comic book creator. I was asked to make some intro videos (the ones you've seen shared on this forum) and be available for an interview today (10/26) for a few hours. It seemed absolutely legit to me, and I jumped at the chance to spend some time talking TMNT (anyone who knows me knows it's what I love to do best).
When I joined the X Space, the third-party entity I was working with had control of my user account -- the idea being they would post generic "welcome/intro" posts from me so I could concentrate on the interview. That seemed innocent enough, so I agreed. As the interview started, all seemed to be going to the expected plan...until I started seeing a bunch of crypto promotions being posted, some of them implying I was officially endorsing a specific coin. That was absolutely not the case (I had never even heard of the coin until the posts started popping up), so I immediately texted the organizers and told them I was very concerned about what I was seeing in relation to crypto -- I reminded them I was promised this was supposed to be a fun fan outreach only. They apologized to me for the misunderstanding and began to remove the crypto posts associated with my name.
(Sadly, it appears one of the posts that was made under my account included a CA #, which came to my attention later when one of the community members shared a screen shot of it after it had been deleted. I have absolutely nothing to do with that CA # -- didn't even know what a CA # was until I looked it up today -- and I want everyone here to be aware of that to avoid confusion.)
As soon as the interview was over, I personally made a post to thank all the great fans who participated...as well as pointing out that I in no way was involved with -- nor endorsed -- the coin being promoted. That was the case then -- it remains the case now. As it is, I have nothing against crypto generally -- I just don't want anyone thinking I'm promoting something I truly am not.
So, for the official public record (so there are no further doubts): I do NOT endorse ANY crypto coin or token, either personally or professionally. I made no money from the coin/token being promoted today -- nor would I accept any.
I am dealing privately behind-the-scenes with the parties involved -- they are very aware of my concerns for what transpired.
Rest assured, I'm seething at myself for making such a rookie mistake. In my excitement to discuss TMNT with my fellow shell heads, I allowed myself to jump into this without doing the proper due diligence first. I agreed to this interview in good faith...but obviously a bit too naively and optimistically. I will be smarter about what I participate in moving forward...and I sincerely apologize to all the good folks who joined the X Space today, as I did, for the true purpose of talking about TMNT and comic books -- not crypto. Please know it did my heart good to see so many fans joining in simply for their love of TMNT.
You awesome fans were the reason I agreed to do this, and it saddens me that it had to be overshadowed by the crypto confusion. I have always been an open book with my fans during my career, and I will continue to be one -- even when it means I have to eat a little crow, just as I am now.
The most ironic part of this is that I really enjoyed the interview today. Felt like it was a great TMNT discussion we were having.
NOTE: Moving forward, any posts you see on this community forum (including this one and the ones I made a bit earlier today) come directly from me. I have taken back full control of my user account.

Thank you, fellow TMNT fans, for participating in my first X Spaces meetup today! Really excited to join the community and provide some of my unique experiences behind the scenes with our beloved Heroes in a Half Shell. I'm always honored and humbled when my fellow fans want to learn more about my job.
And for the record, my involvement has NOTHING to do with crypto whatsoever (I've been seeing a lot of comments about that -- most of which sound like a different language to me LOL). I'm strictly here for the creator-fan interactions -- to talk TMNT specifically, and comic books in general with you all...nothing else.
I hope to do this again very soon! For now, I've got some TMNT writing deadlines to meet! :)
You guys rock!

Marvel Zombies: War Zone #2
For a Marvel zombies book this hits a lot of emotional beats without sacrificing the action and horror that made MZ great.

Thank you, everyone, who checked out MARVEL ZOMBIES: WAR ZONE #2 today! The response has been fantastic -- and is truly appreciated!
There's no way this series is possible without the magnificent work of artists @JaimeInfanteRa1 and @franmariscalman, colorist @BryanValenza, and super editor Lauren Amaro!
(With very special thanks to editor Darren Shan, the mighty @ealpuente, designer Jay Bowen, and cover artists Tony Parker, @Davcuriel, Scott Hepburn, @AntonioFabela & @JunggeunY!)
It's been one of the most amazing creative collaborations I've had the honor and privilege to be a part of in my long career. We're telling a special (and different) kind of Marvel Zombies story that I truly believe will surprise a lot of folks when it's all said and done.
See you for issue #3 on November 25th!
