The Stop the War Coalition has responded to the Socialist Equality Party's request to defend our comrade, Bogdan Syrotiuk.
Their statement notes that he was "sentenced to 15 years imprisonment" on "charges of 'high treason' under martial law for opposing NATO and for calling for solidarity with Ukrainian and Russian workers." They add that "The same charge of support for the Russian government has been levelled against all opponents of NATO’s proxy war in Ukraine, including Stop the War."
Every day in prison is a threat to Bogdan's life. All socialists must step forward to take part in the campaign to secure his freedom. Sign the petition and join the campaign here!

Socialist Equality Party Assistant National Secretary Tom Scripps spoke outside the Turkish embassy in London on Tuesday.
He and a group of SEP members aimed to deliver a letter to the Turkish ambassador protesting the unjust arrest of Mayor Ali Ercan Akpolat, and hundreds of government.
